If you’ve been to Armor Games recently you may have noticed a new and exciting feature! Yesterday, January 17, Armor Games officially unveiled their own achievement system that will allow you to earn badges that are then displayed on your profile. This is very similar to how you would earn achievements on similar sites, such as Kongregate and Newgrounds or even on the much larger Xbox platform. After a long wait, Unity games are finally being badged on Kongregate! Why the long wait you ask? As some of you may be aware of, through your own personal experiences or through others, Unity is not available for everyone and people using Linux will not be able to play Unity games. Thankfully, Kongregate is not allowing for any Unity badges, or games, to be featured in time-based events, so that when Unity releases to Linux that Linux users will be able to go back and earn all of the Unity points if they wish. Here’s is a complete walkthrough for the insanely addictive game, Kaleid which is currently being hosted on Kongregate.com. The developer describe Kaleid as “A puzzle game with a kaleidoscopic twist.” 5minutesoff (the developer) has also added the Kongregate Sharing API, so users can now share their levels that they made in the level builder.
