Cursed Treasure 2 – Coming Soon!

Many of you probably remember Cursed Treasure: Don’t Touch my Gems, but recently announced by IriySoft, is the sequel, Cursed Treasure 2: Hey! Heroes! Leave Us Gems Alone! This game topped the list of best games on many sites and in my opinion is the best tower defense game to ever be made. If you’ve played the game then you most likely have fond memories of all of the levels and the exciting gamplay. The game’s art has been dramatically changed, from a more realistic look to a more cartoon-like look that has been popular with many successful TDs lately, which I despise, especially when I’d already fallen for the beautiful art of the first Cursed Treasure. The art is the only noticeably different so far. There hasn’t been too many releases on what the game will change, but hopefully the game will retain everything we love about Cursed Treasure: DTmG and bring even more to the table. I’m really looking forward to it and will be posting a release article when it comes out to keep you guys up to date!

Mini Heroes, Sequel to Castaway 2 – Release Date Announced!

Most of us have probably played and enjoyed the awesome game that is Castaway 2, by Likwid Games. The game was extremely popular and eventually make its way all over the internet. If you’ve payed any attention to the Likwid Games forums or keep and eye on the Armor Games blog, then you’ll know that Mini Heroes, the sequel to Castaway 2 (or at least closely based on the Castaway series) is going to be making its way to Armor Games this July. What is interesting about Mini Heroes is that the game is actually multiplayer. Not too many details have been released on what exactly that means, but if all goes well you should be able to fight along side other players. Hopefully the developers won’t take too many advantages that the gaming community has expected from MMO, such as real-world currency – as long as there aren’t too many advantages to paying players then I have no problem with the game. According to an Armor Blog post, the game will feature over 1000 craft-able items! This is an insane amount and I can’t wait to experiment with different combinations.

Anyways, I’m really looking forward to the game. I’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date on when exactly the game will be out, so far, it’s simply July and I’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest news on Mini Heroes. I know that the Likwid team has been working hard on this game for a long time now (about eight months) and I can’t wait to play the game. One last thing, if you “like” the Mini Heroes Facebook page then you’ll gain access to the beta for the game once it begins. I’m assuming that beta for the game kick-starts early June, giving the game a good month of feedback and bug-killing before an official release.

Achievement Unlocked 3 – Now Out!

You heard it right, one of John’s craziest games is now back for its third game! The first two were extremely successful, featuring a blue elephant (which we’ve seen in a couple of John’s previous games, where your goal is to complete as many in-game achievements as possible. The first Achievement Unlocked has 100 achievements, and I believe the second one had the same amount, or possibly more, but the third Achievement Unlocked blows both of them out of the water with a whopping 400 achievements to collect in the game. If you liked the previous games, or are simply looking for a game to get hooked to for the next couple of days then this is your game. Be sure to play it today, now out on Armor Games!

Fancy Pants Adventures: World 3 – Now Out!

It seems like this week has been full of epic sequels. Today, Fancy Pants Adventure World 3 was released on Armor Games and I was so excited when I saw it. If you’ve not played Fancy Pants before, fear not, the game isn’t too storyline oriented and you end up aiming for different things each game. Although, the same good fun is there, with slick controls, awesome graphics and incredible gameplay. I haven’t gotten too far in the game, but I’ll be sure to write up a review later, and maybe post a walkthrough for the game. Be sure to check out the game on Armor Games, or Kongregate today!

Infectonator 2 – Now Out!

More than likely, you remember the great Infectonator series, by TogeProductions. Now, Infectonator is back for it’s sequel (after two separate spin-offs, a Christmas and World-Domination edition). I’ve always been a big fan of Infectonator and while I haven’t played Infectonator 2 for long, I know that it’ll quickly become one of my favorite games of the year. Your goal in Infectonator is to infect the people of the world with a zombie-like virus that will eventually spread to other people in the city. The goal is to infect everyone in the world! This is a very simple game, with easy controls and overall easy difficulty, but nonetheless, I always end up playing the games for hours, trying to infect the entire planet. Once again, TogeProductions has moved away from their older retro look and have replaced it with the style of their second most recent game, Reich of Darkness. If you liked the original Infectonator than don’t wait another second to head on over to Armor Games and fire up Infectonator 2!

Monsters’ Den Chronicles – Now Out on Armor Games!

You heard it right, one of the most popular dungeon crawler games is now back for it’s third game. I’ve watched the progression of Monsters’ Den Chronicles over the past year on the Monstrum Games blog and I’ve seen the progression of the game. The game is truly a big success and brings a whole new side to the Monster Den series, while keeping what made Monsters’ Den what it is today. If you’ve never played Monster Den, which is understandable – the first game was released four years ago and the second three years ago, – then you’re missing out. This game has a lot to offer! When I first played the Monsters’ Den series I easily sunk some 10-20 hours. The Last Stand: Dead Zone Now in Early Access Beta!

It official, the first beta of The Last Stand: Dead Zone is out and on Facebook. You can join the beta simply by going to The Last Stand page on Facebook and hitting the “Like” button. It seems that with every new game, Con Artist continues to change the gameplay of the Last Stand dramatically. This time around it is in the new Stage3D format (formerly called Molehill) which we haven’t seen a lot of since it has only recently come out. This allows for the game to be played in super high quality. There’s not a lot I can say so far, the game is really killing my computer because of the Stage3D format. Still, check it out it looks like the finally product is going to be one epic game!

Angry Birds Space Release Date Announced!

The developer of Angry Birds have just announced that their newest project is now in the works, Angry Birds Space – a new physics game based off of the already insanely popular Angry Birds game, but now in space. Not much has been said about what the game will entail and even the official trailer includes no game footage. There is one thing that I can assure through, is that it will be much the same as Angry Birds that you know and love but will come with a few neat features that come with the space theme, such as zero gravity. The game is set for release on March 22, 2012. Probably the best source to get up to date information is the official site, which I link below. Anyways, this is really exciting to any launcher game fan and I’ll continue to post as more news is released about the game.

Newgrounds Begins Site Redesign Launch!

If you’ve looked at Newgrounds today then you’ve noticed that you won’t be able to access the hompage. Right now you can only reach a neat splash page with a few social networking plugins in place. If you go on Newgrounds regularly then it’s more than likely that you’ve heard from Tom Fulp, and read on the forums, about the upcoming site redesign. This is really exciting and is a big day in the Flash gaming world. I’m really looking forward to the new site design and I hope for the best. Newgrounds should be up and running again with it’s new site design in a few hours (just a guess) and they’ve cautioned that the site could simply break down again once they publish the new fixes, but don’t expect that to take too long.

What do you hope the new site design brings and when it is released what do you like and dislike about the design?
