This Crafting Guide goes over many combinations that you can make in Castaway 2 to create various items for a very low cost. This guide covers a lot of the combinations, but not all! Ore Spawn Rates
“Ore spawning on maps is basically done by scanning the map for walkable tiles, then on each of them get a 3/2000 chance of spawning an ore. For defining which ore it’s going to be, it just applies the random chance of each ore and the final spawn will be the last one that passes the probability test. So, for the numbers:
Area 1: Maps 1-11 can spawn Iron (Iron always have a 100% probability to spawn, so if the tile passes the 3/2000 chance it will spawn at least iron there)
Area 2: All maps (1-8) can spawn Iron, and Sapphire can happen with 12% of chance.
Area 3:All maps (1-12) can spawn Iron, Sapphire with 12%, Emerald with 7% and Ruby with 2%
Area 4: Iron, Sapphire 15%, Emerald 10%, Ruby 5%
Areas 5-6: Iron, Sapphire 18%, Emerald 13%, Ruby 8%, Gold 3%
Area 7: Iron, Sapphire 30%, Emerald 20%, Ruby 10%, Gold 5%

The Paladin Talisman is actually the Knight Talisman. Combine it with Old Guard armors to make Paladin armors. What I can’t figure out is why there are only three Paladin Talismans and three Golem Talismans but four Minotaur Talismans and four Saint Talismans. You have to combine the Paladin armors and Saint Talismans to get Saint armors, and you have to combine Golem armors with Minotaur Talismans to get the Minotaur armors. I want all four of my armors to be the best!

Empty Bottles can be found as drop-items by field snakes and those swooping monsters. If you’re only level five, you probably haven’t even reached a town yet. Just keep walking along the path and you’re bond to find the town. :D

Like I said below, its a random chance on any given map, although i have 2 theories about grinding them.
1. I think the chance may increase of you finding all types of minerals on higher level areas
2. it generates them in a “per level load” basis, so you can walk in and out of screen and check again for iron. This also means that the smaller the room your walking in and out of, the less time you will spend looking for iron/gems.
As for an actually efferent way of getting the stuff, don’t bother grinding, they have them in orb form as quest rewards for completing various boss quests, so far i have gotten iron (3 bars) = 1orb, emerald (1 orb) and sapphire (2 Crystal) in that order. Imo for everything but iron there is absolutely no substitute for quests. also they are all boss quests, just fyi so you dont have to look too long, and you have to do them anyway because of them being boss quests.

I think gems can be seen in yellow dot in the mini map then if u got something note in it then the next day(day in castaway 2) u can see another like that thing that’s what i think.

The yellow dots on the mini-map indicate a rock withe either iron ore or gem shards. I’ve experienced a 30-40% chance of finding a rock and over 90% contains iron ore. The shards are indeed hard to find.

the razor sword (dragon slayer sword) is pretty badass im actually using it right now. the stats: strength: +28; defense: +3; agility & magic: 0. the only down side is that its heavy as hell. so it takes up alot of energy to swing. weight: 15

Its a drop from one of the bosses, it unlocks a zone. You will get it in the natural progression of the game if you are going boss by boss. (However there was a but a while back that let you kill bosses without haveing the quest and the boss would not respawn, thus makeing the quest impossable and the game unbeatable. if this happens you need to start a new file)

It spawns the same way as iron only its a WAY lower spawn rate. Those quests are quests you hold on to for the rest of the game, don’t bother grinding them out.

It should be the forge in the area before or after you found the item to make it, never the same except for the first one i think.

You can remove plate leggings and the other thing that goes with it as it is redundent with the Plate + Leather x -> plate x, or you could convert them all to the single form for the sake of easyness to read, also you should add the darts
Iron + Alchihiest –> Shuriken (up from 5 now yield of 10)
also for the confusion on the mats for beetle shield, i used to require 5/5 and it was reduced to 3/3 via patch

Hyperion dose not come open untill level 16-18 if i remember corectly, just open the ocenious door, that will have you do the poisen zone. Then i think you may even have one zone before that untill you can do hyperion

Not sure why, but i feel like before i go to bed tonight i need to have a rant about this otherwise great game, bear in mind as i say this that this is an awesome game and the flaws i point out are the outliers in an otherwise great game.
1. This game has some critical bugs. If you fail at crafting, the sound-file dose not stop playing in the game after you stop hearing the sound, it is not precipitable unless you turn off your music and try failed things over and over again, eventually this builds up and causes the game to freeze.
2. I want to have a sprite for diagonal motion, i also want to be able to shoot diagonally, or control my directional facing in a 360 degrees via my mouse.
3. Ranged combat sucks like a vacumecleaner. Crafting your precious gems into darts is stupid its like loading your riffle with dollar bills, it would be much more effective to buy some bullets.
4. Cant hit shit with spells unless im pointblank, ill either overshoot it a bit or undershoot it, its very hard to line up.
4b. cant shoot any direction other than FORWARD, left right and down.
5. There is no viable way to play a mage, i tried, i really did. If you want mage to be viable you need to halve or even quarter spell damage and mana cost, as well as reducing the cd’s a bit. I don’t like waiting for cd’s, nor do i like being out of mana.
6. Agility, what?
6b. Agility needs to be split into speed (dodge raiting and movement speed) and spirit (mana/hp regain speed)
6c. Nobody is willing to waste x2.5 the mana cost of an already too costly attack on a little landmine that you have to kite enemies all the way across the field to use most of the time, and the mines arn’t good even if they were free.
6d. You need better spells in tier 2, also get rid of the poison one or else make the damage dealt more mana effcent than (because the damage is slower) than raw dps things like fireball.
6e. Tier 2 after heal should be changed from an overpriced “I don’t want to take quite so long moveing from a to b, OH WAIT NVM IT WORE OFF” to a shield, causeing your spirit to be added to your defense so long as the shield is up, and any damage taken while the shield is up causes the damage to be done to your mana rather than hp, the shield drops off when you hit 0 mana. This way mages dont have to waste points in their defense stat, because they already have too much to keep up with considering the heavy mana costs. (Contenued)

To your point 1: I agree with the music thing. It is annoying.
To your point 2: I don’t agree with the 360 degree stuff. It’d make the game a lot more fidgety and more difficult to aim.
To your points 3 & 4: The only magic spell that is hard to aim is the fireball. It never seems to hit for me. The other spells, however (1st tier lightning, 3rd tier lightning, 3rd tier ice, 3rd tier fire, 3rd tier poison and others) DON’T NEED AIMING. It’s that simple. For the 1st tier lightning spell, you have to click on the monster first, yes. But I don’t call that aiming – the attack will always hit the target you click.
Also to your point 3: And there is no point to crafting darts for attacking. So why mention it? They were basically just for the quests.
To your point 5: And I don’t get the comment about mages at all. They are the strongest way to play the game, and the only thing to worry about is weight.
To your point 6b: Agility is a bit pointless as is, because a high defense will make all attacks only do 1 damage, so why bother dodging that? So yeah, Agility would need re-working
To your point 6c: You are talking about the lightning trap spell? that is only needed for bosses, if to be used at all. Personally, I think it works great for the last boss, who steps on it with every move (cuz he’s so big) and it stuns him a lot, allowing me to hit him in the back. And it’s only 10 mana. that is a ridiculously low amount for an attack that can stun more than one and deal damage over time.
To your point 6d: The poison tier is incredibly amazing, just because of it’s final spell, Misama. It attacks all targets on the field, and, with enough magic, kills all of them. It’s the easiest, quickest way to gain levels. Without it, I’d have hated leveling up.
To your point 6e: And the mana shield thing.. I don’t like it so much. Look, I’m level 56, and just getting magic to 100+ has made it able to kill any monster with miasma, and when I got it to 113, it gave me 400 mana, which is plenty for all my mana needs. also, at level 56, I have 85 defense, which makes every attack do only 1 damage point to me. Kick butt mage or what? And I upped STR to like 60 something so I have a large weight. Only stat I didn’t do was Agility, and I have found no need for it anyway.
My point of that last paragraph is: Mage’s can manage just fine and have enough skill points to give them defense and weight.

6f. Mages need better gear options early game. And better spells overall.
7. The pet ai is great for melee and melee alone. Take for examble the large lizard thing, this fella’ has a str of 51 when you get him and a def of 29 and a agi of like 3 and mag of 0, he has the ability to do a knock back, a great meele attack, and a poisen ranged attack. Now this sounds good no? No. Because the ai decides to make the most of this range attack of his, and he runs away and spams his one damage attack rather then useing his actualy viable meele damage.
8. everyone needs better pathing period.
9. the 3d look is fun but its kinda hard to maneuver around objects that are in your way, even worse is when you are manuvering around solid ground that you think is an obstruction (e.g. the dirt in the swamp area looks like bog)
10. The crafting user interface.
10b. The Effing crafting user inter- let me play a cinematic for you- interface.
10c. The U.I that lets you sell items one at a time asking “really” each time.
10d. What should i do if i have 84 pet healing berry items, thats 84 lbs, it takes one click to pick them up and 3 clicks and two mouse drags to sell them, each. Its faster to craft them into supper potions and sell those potions, one at a time.
10 & 6. Mages can’t carry much at all, they need an easy waste disposal method like the ability to sell things faster than one at a time for example, id shell out a few skill points for that.

To your point 6f: I agree that mages need some better gear in the beginning, but really, they can still do more damage per attack than a melee even in the beginning.
To your point 7: Have you played through the game? there are better pets than that. I have a LVL 43 Fire Starter, who can hit with powerful ranged and very good melee. I find he uses both, so I don’t know what you are harping about for pets =/
To your point 8: Huh?
To your point 9: I agree that some things look like obstructions but really aren’t. They should fix that.
To your point 10c: You can sell items more than one at a time. Just go to any building by a sigil, or the town. If you mean discard, I say just use a Castaway feather to go to town to sell as many items as you want.
To your point 10d: You use them to make potions, there’s no point in keeping them in herb form. And if you truly wanted to sell them all at once, just go to a town or one of those rooms with a shack. Is that too much to ask?
To your point 10&6: They can if they use a bit of points on STR. But I do agree that the game needs some kind of bank to store items and stuff, that’d solve the weight problem.

I know i sound mad but i actualy love this game, oh 2 more things, there is no reason for a 2 second delay when i kill a mob for the loot to spawn, it just makes me wait or have to go back for it. also the actual range of your attack is just shy of your attacking animation. causing you to actualy miss more than you “miss”
oh also i would probably roll hit raiting and crit raiting into the “speed stat”

I completely agree I also feel that there should be a better map than the one currently. Both the “radar” and the map icon need to be combined so that not only do you know where you are but what the hell is even there.

i finished the game playing as mage i only had 200hp who the hell needs hp as a mage? my pet can tank everything for me lol… my lvl 26 loomi has 450+ hp

Great ideas you got there Sharidc. The next update will include a multisale option as you mentioned in 10d.
Now since we’re on this topic here are some of my ideas:
1a. A higher eggdropratio and a shorter hatching period.
As it is now I’m usually 3 levels higher than my pet when I can finally pick it up from the stable. (after all the farming for the egg and the hatching time)
1b Make it so that you can only obtain one egg per monsterspecie since having 2 is useless and it screws up the inventory space.
2. Completely get rid of the weight system. This is punishment for mages and it doesn’t add anything to the gameplay.
3. More exp for completing quests
4. More things that I can do with my money. (e.g. materials, recipes, pets and item locations)
5. Spells being fired directly at the selected target instead of the direction faced.
6. Double click to make your pet attack a target.
7. Harder bosses, all of them except the last one are ridiciously easy.

To your point 1a: The egg hatching goes by your computer time clock. Just change it if you’re impatient, and your pet will be hatched instantly.
To your point 1b: I disagree. Maybe allow it only to have one in your inventory at one time, but don’t allow only getting one egg. What if you accidentally released a pet and wanted to get another?
To your point 2: I can see how that would make sense. I’d be fine if they did that.
To your point 3: Yeah, more exp for quests would be nice, but not needed. Killing monsters is plenty good enough to get a lot of EXP
To your point 4: I DEFINITELY agree with this. I’d love to buy pets, pet armor, pet serums, materials (mainly gems), or advanced recipes, maps to items, a house, more weight, and stuff! Imagine all that you could buy! I wouldn’t have 300,000 gold just rotting on my account if I could buy some of that stuff!
To your point 5: I’m not sure I get this, but I would like ranged spells like Fireball to hit more often/hit automatically.
To your point 6: I suppose, but they already have a way to get a pet to attack a target.
To your point 7: I agree to this as well. All you need is thunder dome and they die instantly.

To get to the Forge of Nymphs you have to go to first portal, way back at the beginning of the game. talk to the statue that gives missions only this statue will give the peeping tom mission that lets you get to the Forge of Nymphs.

This has been driving me nuts! I have tried combining them with everything, but I get nothing! I even ran over some old recipes for leather and hide (for ex) and it always rejects the Treated Leather. It makes me feel as though I should have left them in their lower forms so I could use them. Are they for selling? I am not want for money – I could burn the stuff.
I have tried combinations that made me cringe because I worried for the rarity of the items I was using. They seem to serve no purpose but to uselessly help with space or to take up space. I’ve got a few issues, the first one is how do i craft sticks? I goofed and pulled a final fantacy 1 move (visiting weapon shop first thing in a town) and sold my stick thinking it was now useless, big mistake, but there has to be a way to get another one right? Secondary is how do i get a rusty dagger? I’ve tryed quite a few combinations… well enough to have the item crafting music make me whant to vomit every time i hear it, sence its not on the list a recapie for it would be nice sence its needed for a quest.

I don’t think there is a way to get back the stick. I haven’t seen it as a drop item from any monster thus far and it hasn’t appeared in any shops. The rusty dagger should appear in the first town that you visit – in the shop’s dagger menu.

ummmmmmm i just got a really creepy bug……. its a retarded glitch. first i teleported to pans forest and the general store was gone. then i went down like 2 or 3 squares and my pet attacked me. I was fighting it and i literally saw its health going downwhen i hit it. it wouldnt do the commands and stuff and after i killed it it wasnt in the resurrection ladies iinventory. yes, i did check. it was the starter foomli. im using a blue foomli now but its still annoying.

There’s this horrible bug: when you craft something, you don’t hear the music an d no matter how much you press the “OK” button after the craft you won’t be able to continue playing… Another thing is that i was trying to forge some leather X armor or plate X, with the solid scales and treated leather… Either i didn’t craft enough of both or there’s no way to craft X armor :|

I really, really am wondering about this one.
One reason for suspicion (and I don’t know if this was a mistake when they made the game or not) is that the gold ignot (x6 iron ores) sells for 100 gold, and each gold ore also sells for 100 gold. So, if gold was purely meant to be sold, wouldn’t it make sense that the ignot would sell for a ton? (at least more than the gold ore?) It is a possibility, however, that they meant the Gold Ignot to sell for 1,000 gold, which would make complete sense.
But anyway, I’m experimenting with my one Gold Ignot that I’ve gotten so far, and when I eventually get the Gold Globe, I’ll experiment with that one, too.

Another thing is, I think it would make sense for them to offer one last, kick-but weapon that uses the rarest and hardest to get materials. You know, for those players who are dedicated to play for hours to get the needed things to get the ultimate weapon/armor/pet. And what harder thing is there to do than get a Gold Globe (or even more :O? Like 5 Gold Globes – the same amount of iron globes needed for the razor sword?) A single gold globe would be 18 individual gold ores. So 5 would mean 90 Gold Ores. Woah.

That’s also my current problem as well. Theoretically, you should be able to craft a new one but there appears to be only one Gaea Seed in the game.
Soon after crafting the Imp Branch I was able to craft the Staff of the Magi. So, since weight is an issue for Mages, I sold it. I mean, who in their right mind would expect to have to hang onto that Imp Branch for so long?
Being near the end, I’m sure I can finish the game with what I have but it just bugs me to have quests I’ve accepted but can’t finish.

It completely depends on your class and your current stats. Always take into consideration what stat you need to increase at the moment. You can always craft, or use both, as different scenarios appear, but I doubt an extra three points will turn the tables much either way if you’re already losing a battle.

I’ve made the following:
Golem Sleeves = Leather Sleeves + Golem Talisman
Paladin Helmet = Old Guard Helmet + Paladin Talisman
I think these generalise so that any combination of leather with golem talisman gives equivalent in golem and the same with paladin and old guard.
@Lionking: In the guide currently the Paladin Talisman is called Knights Talisman which is a mistake I believe (at least you can replace the knight talisman with a paladin talisman and still get a paladin armour).

There are four Paladin Talismans scattered across the map, they look like a translucent green statue of a knight. You combine them (no forge required) to make with Old Guard equipment to make Paladin equipment.
Each piece has different stats, though, and since there’s a good deal of time in between picking up each talisman, here are the stats:
Paladin Helmet: 4 Def, 3 Mag
Paladin Chest Armor: 5 Def, 2 Mag
Paladin Sleeves: 5 Def, 3 Str
Paladin Leggings: 5 Def, 3 Agi

Here’s a neat little tidbit, if you are wishing to get a lot of shells or leather your best bet is to backtrack to one of the first places you started off attacking blue beetles and snakes. They seem to be dropping more of their hides/shells then the higher leveled opponents.

If not that then they are easier to kill and so you feel as if you get a lot more items, which you do. I’ve also found that there seems to be a higher spawn rate of the mineral mounds, the things that give you iron ore and such.

FORGOTTEN FORGE LOCATION
when your at the 2nd sigil in the lava area head toward the next square until you reach an area with a north and south exit. north will be MR. TANK south will be the FORGOTTEN FORGE.
i hope you can understand this.
as for all the items you need for the forge quests are all marked on your map as a smaller forge.

Another tidbit here, if you find a place that you know has mineral mounds collect the mineral and exit that area and then enter it again. Continually go in and out of this area about six times and there is a chance that you will get a sapphire mound(the shiny blue one).

The sorcerer’s sapphire can be found on the map down the forge of the nymphs.
To get to the forge you need to go to the city, go left til you find a map with teleporter, get the “I see you” quest with the statue, go up til you reach another map with teleporter, go left on that map til you see Peeping Tom’s map, kill him, and them go down til you pass the forges.
I believe I helped a lot of people becausa founding this wasnt easy =/

Another tips that you might find interesting:
The blue snake (not baby) is a REALLY good pet, it spits ice that cause about 130~140 damage in its first level and freezes the target, although its HP is kinda small
Leaving Peeping Tom alive to kill him after is a good deal, he is really annoying to kill if you go there low level cause EVERY he does attack stuns you and there’s nothing really important in the Nymph’s island to unlock in the beggining of the game
Explore every part of the maps you pass so you dont miss any treasure, it will really bother you to have to look in every map after you finish the game to find the treasure you missed.

I’m lvl 51 and i’ve just had the ‘razor sword’ its the one where u need a wooden sword and 5 iron globes (you would’nt believe the trouble i went through to collect them) and in case anyone wanted to know, its adds 28 to Str and 3 to Def and how it looks like? You can see it at the city(Astraea’s Bastion), at the weapon/Armor shop. You know it has a dragon like skull on the roof of the weapon/armor shop? and theres a blade stuck in the skull? Its that blade. I recommend getting it, it seriously kicks ass with its good range and damage!!!

Hammer class? Razorsword>morningstar no matter what kind of tactic is used. They may both have the same damage, but swords recharge stamina around twice as fast.

Actually, for me at least, they recharged their stamina at exactly the same time (roughly 3 seconds for a full recharge)
So it’s a matter of which you like more/which fits your set better. Both are basically equal

Weapons do more damage when you swing them at 100% stamina then they do when you swing them as fast as possible. This difference isn’t as noticeable for light weapons (swords) but makes a huge difference for heavy weapons (maces). At 50 strength with a Nail Bat, I do about 60 damage when I swing at 100% stamina and 9-14 damage when I swing as fast as possible. This also increase the damage of special moves when executed at max stamina.

There is no order. No matter which order you do things in, you won’t get yourself lost or trapped. Just always be on the lookout for quests and finish all the ones you are currently on (it unlocks others when you finish some quests)

This happens sometimes. Simply put, the game is bugged. You will not be able to continue the game. There is no way you’ll be able to finish the quest, since you will never get the quest or the keys you need. You’ll just have to start a new game.

You do have the Deadwood Staff listed twice, though: once in Resources and once in Weapons.
I just beat Peeping Tom, and he is an absolute pushover. I was level 10, full Plate armour and using the Regal Sword. I didn’t even use a single health potion. All you have to do is time your strike so that you are standing right beside the very middle of his (up-down) flight path. This will provide ample time for your stamina to recharge and you get pretty good hits on him every time.
Now, an important note: If you are making Large Potions just for the sake of selling them, STOP!!! You earn the best money by selling MEDIUM potions. Here’s the math:
1 Empty Bottle + 12 Herbs = 63 gold if you sell the ingredients; selling a Large Health/Berry potion gives you 70 gold, so you earn 7 more gold than if you were to sell the ingredients. BUT:
1 Empty Bottle + 6 Herbs = 33 gold, and Medium Health/Berry potions themselves sell for 50 gold. You earn 17 gold and use fewer ingredients if you sell Medium Potions instead.
TL;DR: Selling 2 medium potions made of 2 bottles and 12 ingredients makes you more money than selling 1 large potion made of 1 bottle and 12 ingredients.
Also:
1) Making Alkahest then selling it is a waste of money. You earn 30 gold for selling the Small Health Potion and Antidote that it is made of, but you only earn 8 gold for selling the Alkahest itself.
2) Selling iron ore gets you more money than selling iron bars (6×10 gold per ore > 1×50 gold per ingot).

if you have come to higher levels (22+) the easiest way to get iron imo is to kill baby firestarters(lvl 22 gila-lizard) they drop iron ingots almost every other time :)
i dont know if im right but i believe that you get more ores appearing in every room when you come to high-level areas

I’m pretty sure that you can only craft iron globes. They aren’t a drop item – at least, I haven’t encountered one yet. You can craft them with 3X Iron Ignots (which are made out of 3X Ore + 3X Ore) and Alkahest.

Try to kill everything in sight. At the beginning of the game, the monsters aren’t much of a threat so if you just quickly kill everything on the screen that’ll level you up the fastest. You can also try to kill other level five or above critters for a bit more experience, better drop items and more of a challenge.

Dude, I hope u’re not joking. you go to the bastion (where the inn, blacksmith, shop and the stable is) walk into the stable like the other shops and hit space, in the interface that comes up, there is an add egg button at the top right. If you have any eggs in your inventory (monsters drop them sometimes) you will be able to add them.

I encountered a similar problem, although not as bad as yours. I believe the problem persists even though the website says otherwise, however sad, I think the only way to deal with this is to revert to an earlier savegame that will allow you to fulfill the quest requirement.

People, before asking things try to ctrl+F your question and see if anyone already asked here ou if its already answered, there’s a lot of spam comments in this =/
Also, if you want to play the game the easy mode, be a mage, its incredibly easy to kill the monsters since you do about 300+ damage with a single strike on lvl 18 ¬¬, all you have to do is to learn the thunder skill first and then the healing one, also, when you get the last thunder type skill you wont even have to use your mouse, just turn the skill on and runs like hell in the monsters direction.

For everyone who is wondering what the best pet to have is…..
The best pet is either a Fire Starter (adult) or Dragon Leiche (these are the floating skulls with BLUE eyes). The Fire Starter has slightly better defense than the starting pet (the pink Loomi) and has much better attack and agility. And also, he has magic which allows it to shoot powerful fireballs at enemies. To get an egg for one, I suggest (and this is what I did) using Miasma on the map right before the final boss (if you go up, it is Vulcan, and if you go down, it is the forgotten forge). So yeah, use Miasma over and over (going over the field each time to check for eggs) and you’ll end up with a Fire Starter Egg (and most likely a DragonLeiche egg as well). I haven’t experimented with the DragonLeiche pet yet, but I’ll post what his ability is as soon as I test him out.
Hope this helps for all those seeking the best pet!

Ah ok, so, the Dragon Leiche (that is the name of the egg, it hatches into the skull pixie with blue eyes) casts thunder.
His thunder is stronger than the Fire Starter’s flame shots, and his thunder isn’t blocked by any objects like trees (duh).
But, the thunder only seems to work at a distance, and when fighting up close, the Dragon Leiche only does around 40-60 Damage. (and average of 10-30 less than a fire starter’s average attack)
also, a fire Starter also has the ability to do like a ground pound, which injures all enemies that are very close to it, and pushing them away.
Not to mention, a Dragon Leiche’s defense is a lot weaker than the Fire Starter’s (meaning less protection against hits AND less health) and I like a pet who won’t die every second, so I think I prefer the Fire Starter.
I have yet to get the Healing Skull Pixie yet (The Skull Pixie with Pink eyes). But I’m farming that area and will announce it I can get it (I don’t have premium)

I don’t think so, but I haven’t really tried leveling up a baby pet much. If it was true, I don’t think it would matter mch, though, would it? In the end you end up with the adult form of a pet and it might be less statted than that pet would have been if you got it in the adult form from the start.
However, if the pet were to start back on a lower level once it reached it’s “evolving” stage, then this would be really awesome. But I doubt they would make it like this.

I trained up a baby level snake to level 20, and the regular adult snake hatches at level 7. So really if would have made sense for it to evolve at level 7.. but nope.

Warrior’s Shield has to be forged at a forge – you can’t jsut craft it anywhere. Not sure if that is what is wrong.
And about the character, did you click out of the screen when he got stuck? The happens to me, so just click in screen/on him and he should be able to move again.
And I’ve been playing on Armor Games, and there are very few white spots.

Well, I just rounded the level 50 mark, and I still am gaining experience points… so…. yeah, I’d say either it will be maxed at intervals of ten (60, 70, etc) or stop at 99. Or maybe the levels can go on indefinitely. Humph.

Hmm, that’s odd. Maybe it’s just your connection or computer? I haven’t had that problem at all. Or, at least, it has always gone away the second I click on the main character.
And yeah, that’s odd. Are you sure it is the right shield and everything? Or maybe now they’ve fixed it so that you can’t forge the item until you have the quest to forge it (that way you don’t get stuck and can’t finish the quest).
Another possibility is that you placed the items in the wrong slots. Each one has a dark outline of the item it requires in that slot. But this seems rather easy to figure out, and I’d imagine you tried crafting it both ways anyway, so I’m not sure if that is your problem.

There is most likely one single sigil that you missed. they can be hard to find, and the hint is to look (very thoroughly) in each room with a teleporter thing. I have a total of 14 of them on my map (I’ve gone through the whole game, mind). Check each one, and if you’ve done all the quests for all of them and there are no new quests, then go look for another sigil (and a teleporter with it)

If you are wondering what the best one is…
I say the Adult Fire Starter.
For reason #1: It has good, strong attacks -
Flame shots from afar: 50-100+ Damage depending on the attacked monster/pet level
“Ground Pound” that pushes enemies away when up-close: 30+ Damage depending on the attacked monster/pet level
And then a regular biting attack: 50+ Damage depending on the attacked monster/pet level
Reason #2 It has very nice stats –
Slightly less Defense than the starting pet (around 10 less) (YET this is more than all the other pets in the game, regardless), but has more STR (around 20 more) more AGI (10-20 more) and has magic, which, of course, the Loomi completely lacks.
Reason #3 It’s high Defense makes it a very dependable pet.
Just like the old loyal Loomi, this guy has built-in armor! (Next to Loomi, it’s the best DEF in the game) this provides him with a lot of HP and protection against attacks. This guy (also with his ranged attacks) can take whole screens of monsters single-handedly with barely taking a scratch (with a bit of training, of course).
Reason #4 It looks like the final boss, and is a big fat awesome thing that follows you around.
Yep, it’s his look ;D biggest pet you can find, and it matches the final boss (brownie points!)

Ah, well for the Adult Fire Starter, you will only get him very near the end of the game.
I say keep the Loomi! It’s the best pet you will have for a while, and only until you get either the DracoLeiche or the Adult Fire Starter should you switch.
(I mean, you could choose another pet, but most of them have low defense and have the risk of dieing. So keep the Loomi, and try to keep it at the same level as your main character.)
Now.. As for leveling up quickly, I suggest that you work on getting the entire poison magic group. By this I mean go to your magic skills, and try to get all 3 poison spells. The last spell (called Miasma) poisons and slows every monster on the field you are in. And I mean EVERY monster. (if your magic is decent, it will most likely kill all of them, too)
So, I suggest upping your magic stats in the begging and try to get Miasma! It makes leveling up so quick and easy.

You end up being able to get every one of them! By a certain level, you end up getting extra magic skill points and have nothing to spend them on! I’m level 52 right now, and I have 12 Magic Skill points just sitting there (I’ve unlocked all the possible magic skills)

1. Do NOT forge items before you get the quest to forge them, else you will get stuck. (Except Paladin / Saint / Golem / Minotor sets)
2. Complete quests in sequence. Do not kill bosses before getting the quest to kill the boss
3. DO NOT RUSH use the guide as a guideline, if you try to rush in the beginning you WILL get stuck later.
4. Explore, it is the only way you will figure out for the game really works, and you’ll enjoy it a lot more.

Use what you got from her to open a gate? Or sometimes you have to complete quests to unlock others, so try completing that quest.
As to where the Baby Witnesses are located… I think they are around the exit of wooded area/beginning of ice area.

Yes! That was long, and tiresome, but I just got all pets possible (without premium) in my stable (basically all are untrained, so I know what they look like right after hatching)!

Huh? Empty Bottles are exactly what you need to craft health and mana potions.
But you need to use more than 1 Herb. It takes 3 Healing Herbs + 1 Empty bottle to make a small heal potion. Same goes for Mana, but it makes a small mana potion. And then for the Medium potions you use 6 of one of the herbs, and for the large ones, you need 12 of one kind of herb + an empty bottle.

Yes, you can finish all quests without premium. All that premium gives is some helpful “accessories” that aid you. Like, they unlock a healing pet (Pink Skull Pixie). And they give you stuff that stops you from slipping on ice.
But yeah, you can do all the quests without it. For Gorgon’s blood, you need a certain Key to unlock the area it’s in. You can look on the maps at the top of this page to find out where it is and what key you need to get to it.

On Pets:
Believe me, there’s a helluva choice
UP:
1) Use only adult versions of creatures. They are stronger and might have a skill.
2) As soon as you can, get a Glacier Snake.
Why,
2.1) Mad AI makes use Ice Blast ALL the time.
2.2) Once leveled up, will have good life.
2.3) Freezing Ability occurs more occasionally in
it than guy’s own spell.
3) Flying stuff aren’t the best.
4) DracoLiche is a good creature, not the best.
5) Fire starter is TOTAL heavyweight, if it’s your fighting style to lure the enemies’ focus

I agree with Point 1, obviously.
Point 3 is a definite agree.
And I agree with point 4 as well.
And as to points 2 and 5, I prefer the Fire Starter. It’s high Defense makes it so even the highest monsters only get it by 1 for each hit (with a bit of training, of course). To me, that makes the pet incredibly amazing, and it’s attacks are very solid, and I love how it’s “push away/ground pound” move can be combo-ed with his fire spitting attack (dealing well over 100 damage combined for most monsters). And to me, I find freezing monsters a bit wimpy. I’m not so much a melee guy, so I wouldn’t be slashing at them when they’re frozen anyway. For me, my pet can do more damage (melee-wise) than I can. But I suppose if I were more melee based, then a pet that would immobilize pets for me to take them down might be more appealing.
So, I’d say choose the Glacier Anaconda if you are melee based and can chew up frozen ememies.
If you are a Mage and can’t do much melee damage, go for the Fire Starter which will do it for you. That way YOU can be the one to freeze monsters and your PET will chew them up. Or of course you can just blow them up with magic instead :P

Ok wow, nevermind! for some reason, even though my Lvl 43 Fire Starter’s Magic is at 99, and my Lvl 23 Ice Snake’s Magic is at 50 something, the Ice Snake’s Ice Shard Attack does that same damage as my Fire Starter’s Fire Launch attack!
That is just weird. And not right. The Fire ranged attack should be doing a whole but load of damage when the magic is at 99.
but yeah, I stand corrected. I’ll train up my Ice Anaconda and see if I can get his Defense to be at good as my Fire Starters. And if it can (as in, he makes every monsters’ attack be only 1 damage point) then the Ice Anaconda is the #1 pet.
I’ll be posting later after I’ve trained this bugger up.

LISTEN PEOPLE. Gorgon’s Blood is NOT obtained by beating a boss. It is an item you pick up at one of those shrines. The original poster said they needed the West Gate Key. And I guess (I’m not sure) that you’d get that from beating the boss.
Now, that key (again, not sure) would probably open a gate that leads to the Gorgon’s Blood.
Gorgon’s Blood is NOT gotten from killing a boss, even though all the other bloods are.

I can’t find find gold ore, or gorgon’s blood. I don’t even have the quest for grandma Simbi. What should I do now. I have killed tons of those glacier snakes and revenants but the sigil says i need to do more quests to get more. I have the Cursed Kris, Widow Claw and gold throwing stars left but I can’t do any of them. Help please?

Gorgon’s blood is found on the left side, slightly above middle area. I’m pretty sure you need the West Gate Key to get to it. I think you’ve missed a sigil somewhere. There should be three shining blue “teleporters” in the ice place. If you don’t see 3 of them when you go to teleport, that means you’ve missed a sigil (well, to be technical, sigils are in the rooms with the teleporters, so it’s a very easy way to check where sigils are). If you see 3, still go to each one and find the sigil and see if it is glowing with a green ring around it. If it is, then you have more quests to do and go to it to get them.
Also, don’t craft those items unless you’ve gotten the quest for them! I’m not sure if you’d have gotten the quests for them yet, but if you haven’t, then you’ll have to collect those rare globes again to forge them.

Antidotes are commonly dropped by snakes, poison bugs, and gilas. Go to a room with a lot of these and kill them, you’ll end up getting tons of them.

but you know, for everyone seeking a lot of healing herbs or mana herbs, here’s the trick:
Have a decent pet (it can be one with a ranged attack, or one without it; but one with thunder doesn’t work that well) and choose a nice, populated little area (that can fit in one screen) full of the lowest level creatures, and then set your pet to aggressive. Your pet will kill all the monsters easily, and then they’ll respawn, and he’ll kill them again, and they’ll respawn, and he’ll kill them, and so forth.
This works best when you have to leave your computer for a while. Just keep the tab up and your pet will keep killing them. Come back later, and find tons of herbs covering the screen! It’s definitely the hassle-free way to gather herbs.

Huh? Ok, I guess I can give those a try. So you mean I combine the Armors and Eggs + “Selling” Materials, Amrosia, and the Rare Gems? (Meaning: Armor + Gem…. Egg + Gem… Armor + Material… Egg + Material… and so forth?)
I guess those are worth a shot. However, i don’t think they’d make an armor better than the Saint/Minotaur armors. And I DOUBT they’d allow anything to craft with eggs. Why make a special species only obtained by crafting and not make that creature appear in the game at all? Idk, it seems odd, but again, I can try it.

I’ll work on getting a Gold Globe and Sturdy Lumber, and I’ll also try all the above tests on the plate armor. (I’ll be posting the results)

Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale / Sturdy Lumber = Nothing!
Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale x3 / Sturdy Lumber x3 = Nothing!
Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale x5 / Sturdy Lumber x5 = Nothing!———– didn’t involve Sturdy Lumber. They used Treated Leather.
What they needed to look like was this:
Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale / Treated Leather = Nothing!
Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale x3 / Treated Leather x3 = Nothing!
Old Guard Helmet + Solid Scale x5 / Treated Leather x5 = Nothing!
I have not tried the above crafts with Sturdy Lumber yet. I HAVE done them with Treated Leather, however.

If i depart from the island do i beat the game and have to restart? Help please

I’m not sure. I haven’t done this because I am still experimenting with crafting/pets. So could someone fill us in on what happens when we depart from the island (crossing through Gaea’s Gate and clicking “Depart, never to return…” button)? :D

The Sigil will say “See you in seconds” then we return back to the main screen, and they add the sentence “Thank you for playing. See you in the next adventure!”
All the saved file are still there, so don’t worry

A Stick can be bought at the weapons shop in Astaea’s Bastion. You go up to the building with the skull on it, press the spacebar, and click the little tab above the weapons that says “clubs” and it’ll show you the stick in a list with other weapons =)

You have to check Sigils and see if they’re glowing green/have a glowing green ring around them. If one of them is doing that, then that means they have new quests for you. You’ll end up getting that quest if you get to all the Sigils and beat all their quests (this means revisiting some, too, because you unlock new quests after completing certain quests and they appear at Sigils).
An easy way to check the sigils is to teleport to all of the teleporters you have gone to and look around each of the rooms you end up in. (Every room with a teleporter also has a Sigil in it)

Gate Keys are gotten by completing a quest that involved beating a boss. There are more than one, and they are called East, West, North, Central, and so forth.

How long does it take to beat a boss? Normally the fight it self is very short. The thing that takes a while is getting to the bosses/fighting monsters along the way/training along the way/and completeing the toerh quests along the way.
Or are you asking how long does it take to get the Keys? They are gotten immediately after you complete the quest for the boss. (after beating the boss, you go to a Sigil to complete (“cash in”) the quest)

You should find it there.. unless you didn’t save and you restarted the game somehow. It won’t be in the weapons category of your inventory, btw, it will be with the potions.

I’m stuck!
I can’t progress the adventure because of the bug(?).
In Golden Age Peaks, the sigil statue doesn’t give me quests about bosses.
Grandma simbi and Garm doesn’t appear however I go to the area where I can be encouter them.

You probably missed a sigil from earlier in the game. Or, it is very possible that you’ve unlocked more quests from past sigils, but haven’t gone back to them to get them.
I suggest going back through all of your sigils and finding the one that will give you quests. *(you also must complete all your current quests, btw)
To find the sigil locations, check the colored map at the top of this page. the blue dots are sigils (Hint: Every sigil but the very first one in the game is located in the same room as a teleporter. Go from teleporter to teleporter to search and it makes everything a lot easier.)
