Along the way you’ll equip your hero with countless weapons and armors, benefiting you in battle! There are three different classes to choose from, Ranger (which once again is over-powered, yay!) Warrior and Wizard all of which will start with different weapons and will give you totally unique gameplay experiences as you’ll want to join different factions and you’ll have a different battle style! Opening Scene – Choosing Your Class and Faction!

[dhpcg]

As the game begins, you are given a choice between several character classes, the Ranger, the Wizard and the Wizard! Each class has it’s own independent faction that you can join, along with the storyline-based Guardians and Phoenix classes. As always, the Ranger is the best/most over-powered class because Rangers can attack quickly from long-range and when enemies come close to you, you can easily out run them and fire again. Also, Ranger classes allow you to use very little energy, so that when using special attacks you can use as much as you want! I would definitely suggest that you go with the Ranger class as it provides so many benefits over the other class. If you enjoy strong defense and fighting closely, go with the Warrior class and if you’re looking for a class strongly tied to energy go with the Wizard class as there are many powerful spell. If you’re looking for the over-powered/invincible class if played correctly you’ll want to go with the Ranger class. In this menu you can also choose the game difficulty, we’re just going to go with “Normal” mode for this walkthrough. This walkthrough will be done through the Ranger class perspective. As we accept our class and game mode we find ourselves in location A-2 (“A” being the vertical row (A-J) and 2 being the horizontal row (1-14)).

If we looks around in location A-2 we’ll see a citizen of Tempor, Balefor. Balefor will inform you about the civil war in Tempor between the Guardians and the Phoenix. The Phoenix believe that they should attack the Guardians and plunge Tempor into another civil war and the Guardians believe that another war shouldn’t be started. Most the the back-story is included in the opening cut-scene of the game. Refer back to that cut-scene if you don’t fully understand the factions, you’ll have to join one of them soon! Balefor will insist that you meet with his brother Skik.

Skik will give you a quest to complete. He want you to learn how to fight the enemies in this land. This quest will quickly teach you how to fight enemies. Based upon the class that you chose you will fight the enemy in a different way, so if you chose the Ranger (like me) you’ll fight with a bow from long range, if you chose the Wizard class you’ll fight with a basic spell and for the Warrior class you’ll be granted with a sword and will fight closely with the enemies. Skik has summoned illusions for you to fight. Accepting this quest will challenge you to kill five of these illusions. Completing this quest will grant you five gold pieces. This will take no time for you and should be relatively easy! To attack a target, click upon the enemy and your character will automatically attack it. You can use specials by using the short-cut keys, 1-5 or by selecting them at the bottom of the game screen. Upon killing all four summoned illusions, proceed to Skik and he’ll congratulate you and then give you the five gold pieces once you’ve hit the “Complete Quest” button. Skik will inform you to travel to the east for further instructions.

On location B-3 you’ll encounter one of the great cities of Tempor. In these cities you can save your game, buy new weapons and armors from the merchants and buy new skills. Moving to location B-4 we’ll find two sign, “Honor” and “Revenge.” Honor leading to the Guardians and Revenge leading to the Phoenix. You can join either of these factions and you can always trade factions if you wish to do so later in the game. Talenbor, in location B-4, will inform us that we must join either faction! Once we choose our faction we must go to their location, either north or south of B-4 and then seek out the quest giver which’ll present us with our first quest! For this walkthrough we’ll go with the Guardian faction, but you may choose either faction. Note that if you choose the phoenix faction you will not be able to follow this walkthrough. While you currently will not be able to follow this walkthrough accompanied by the Phoenix faction we’re working on expanding this walthrough for that faction so keep tuned! EDIT: If  you wish to follow the Phoenix storyline, refer to this walkthrough (also by us)!.

Lions, Tigers, Wolves?!

[odsok] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: —, Legs: Torn Leggings, Main Hands: Training Bow, Jewel: —, Chest: Ranger’s Shirt, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 6, Agility: 15, Dexterity: 15, Intellect: 5, Focus: 10

If we head to location C-3, we’ll find our first optional side-quest that we may complete. This side-quest is entitled “Lions, Tigers and Wolves?!” and like the title suggest we will be dealing with one of those three creatures, but specifically the wolves in location C-3. Around us in this location are three wolves. Citizen Hinder, our quest giver for this specific quest wants us to kill 10 of these wolves. The reward for this quest is 20 gold pieces and a little experience points from killing the Young Wolves. Accept the quest and kill 10 Young Wolves near you.

If you’re a ranged class, such as the Ranger, or the Wizard, I’d suggest that you stand as far away as possible from the wolves and fire your bow or staff. Keep firing at the Young Wolf until it is dead. If done correctly the Young Wolf should die before it reaches you. Another tip is to fire at the enemies that are not close to another enemy. Alerting another wolf will cause you to not be able to kill the two or three wolves that are now chasing you and if you don’t have sufficient run speed the wolves will catch up to you. Luckily, Rangers will be able to go about the same speed as the wolves. The Young Wolves have around 90 health points, so you should be able to take them out in about 4 hits. The Young Wolves will do little damage to you so if they do reach you, just continue to attack them. Since these are melee enemies hiding behind an obstacle will not help much.

Once you’ve killed 10 Young Wolves the black circle under Citizen Hinder will change to a green circle. This indicates that your quest is complete. Report back to Citizen Hinder and he’ll congratulate you. Hinder says that he’ll investigate! Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your 20 gold pieces.

Crashing the Party!

[lkaij] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: —, Legs: Torn Leggings, Main Hands: Training Bow, Jewel: —, Chest: Steel Breastplate, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 6, Stamina: 7, Agility: 17, Dexterity: 18, Intellect: 5, Focus: 11

Since this walkthrough will cover the Guardian faction move your hero north to location A-4. Move north to the Guardian quest giver, which’ll have a yellow circle underneath him. Guardian Amarog, the quest giver, will inform you that the Phoenix want to enslave the entirety of Tempor and reign over the land. Amarog tells you to go to their recruitment camp to the south and pretend to enlist their faction, then the Guardian troops will attack! The reward for this quest, “Crashing the Party,” is 11 gold pieces! Accept the quest and head to the Phoenix camp to the south, location C-4. You can also check your map to find out where you can complete this quest. In this instance, two squares south of you is where you can complete the quest “Crashing the Party.”

Head to location C-4. A new hint screen will appear teaching you about “trigger points.” These points, when stood upon will allow for an event to occur. In this instance, stepping over this trigger point will allow for your allies to come to your aid! Once you step on this particular trigger point three Guardian members will appear from the corners of the screen. Once again, this fight will be relatively easy. Let your allies take a couple of Phoenix Young Recruits off your hands of a bit, while you take care of a couple of Young Recruits. After you kill a couple of recruits there will be a fight between your three soldiers and three of their remaining soldiers. Help out your allies by teaming up against one of the enemies at a time. Your attacks are much stronger than your allies. Once you’ve killed all of the Phoenix Young Recruits you can return to the camp that you came from, just two blocks to the north, location A-4.

Returning back to camp, proceed to Amarog, the quest giver. He should have a green circle underneath him! Amarog will congratulate you on your victory and will notify you that other Guardian camps will give you more quests. He tells you to travel to the camp south-west of here and accept a quest there. Let’s travel there! Wolves will be on the prowl. Travel to location C-2.

Taken in the Night!

[mxkiq] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Torn Leggings, Main Hands: Training Bow, Jewel: —, Chest: Leather Tunic, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 7, Agility: 19, Dexterity: 20, Intellect: 5, Focus: 11

Location C-2 is where we’ll want to be at this point of the game! Travel there and talk to the quest giver, Lyall. Lyall informs you that their camp was attacked last night by Phoenix bowmen. While many of the more veteran soldiers survived, several of the raw-recruits were taken in the night! He wants you to go to the camp to the west and recover their bodies. Upon completion you’ll receive one of these three items, Steel Gloves (for Warriors), a Leather Tunic (for Rangers) or Silk Slippers (for Wizards). Proceed to the camp directly west, location C-1 and hit the trigger point. A skull will appear, labeled ”Guardian Remains.” Unfortunately, as you pick up the Guardian Remains the Phoenix Bowmen will begin to fire at you! Don’t worry about Captain Meninoca, he won’t attack you. If you’re a ranged class I’d suggest hiding behind the tent and poking your head out to take out the enemies one by one, at an angle where only that single enemy can fire at you! If you’re the warrior class hide behind the tent when you need to recover your health points. When you’re not being harmed, you’ll regenerate health. It’s not necessary to actually defeat these enemies, but doing so will reward you with experience points which you can spend on upgrading six of your stats. Return to Lyall and he’ll give you one of the items. Pick one that’ll benefit you the most. The Steel Gloves should be given to the Warrior class, the Leather Tunic should be used on the Ranger class and the Silk Slippers should be given to the Wizard class.

Beard Shampoo

[lllii] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Torn Leggings, Main Hands: Training Bow, Jewel: —, Chest: Leather Tunic, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 7, Agility: 19, Dexterity: 20, Intellect: 5, Focus: 11

Since I’m a Ranger, at this point of the game I’m looking for a new weapon! If you’re a Ranger go to B-1 and accept the quest there. If you’re a Blademaster, go to the camp at D-1 and if you’re a Magician go to the camp at D-4. Since I’m a Ranger I’ll detail the “Beard Shampoo” quest at B-1. Make sure that you accept the “Report to Commander Feng” quest before proceeding so that we don’t have to run back and forth.

Once you’ve accepted the “Report to Commander” quest move to B-1 and speak to the quest giver there. He’ll explain that the Magicians in the camp to the southwest have stolen their tamed wolves and are using them as test subjects for beard shampoo. The Warders have tried to make contact with the Magicians many times in the past months, but all have been unsuccessful. He insist that you go to the camp and kill all 6 Novices there. The reward for this quest is a Broken Pine Bow, which’ll be a huge upgrade over your current Training Bow that you got at the beginning of the game.

The magicians camp can be found to the southeast, at D-4. Move there and make your way behind the tent. Fire at the Novices there. Stand behind the tent at an angle so that none, or only one magic attack is hitting you. Try to kill Novices that are broken off from the pack so that other Novices aren’t alerted. Once you’ve killed all 6 Novices report back to the quest giver, Fotan, on B-1. He’ll congratulate you and will inform you that, that should stop the cruel testing in the area. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and you’ll be awarded a Broken Pine Bow. Be sure to equip the bow.

Report to Commander Feng!

[oppaq] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Torn Leggings, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: Leather Tunic, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 8, Agility: 22, Dexterity: 21, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

Upon completing the previous quest, “Taken in the Night,” Lyall will tell you that  Commander Feng wants to see any new outstanding members of the Guardian faction. He says that you show promise for Feng’s special mission. Lyall wants you to report to Commander Feng in the city to the northeast. Lyall will award you with five gold pieces upon completion of this quest. If you remember correctly, there was a grand city just northeast of location C-2. We actually past it before reaching the point where we got to choose which faction we wanted to join and you probably past it once again when heading to location C-2. Head northeast of C-2, to location B-3. Enter the city. Feng is the northwest part of the town. Feng will be surrounded by a green circle. Move towards Feng to talk to him and he’ll mention that he recalls you being the one that was leading the attack on the Phoenix factions recently. Click “Complete Quest” to complete this quest and to be rewarded with five gold pieces.

Pledge to Our Cause!

[woaqq] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Leather Greaves, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: Leather Tunic, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 8, Agility: 22, Dexterity: 21, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

Once you complete the “Report to Commander Feng” quest Feng will talk about a man by the name of Gaurdius, whom gave his life to hide away the HeartStone pieces (which, if you recall, you collected in Hands of War 1). Gaurdius was trusted with hiding the HeartStone pieces from the Phoenix faction. Now that Gaurdius has died the Phoenix faction are relentlessly searching for the pieces. Guardius left behind severla encoded messages that have now been salvaged and decoded by the Guardian’s. Feng wants you to retrieve the file from another Guardian member. The historian that we’ll be looking for is just northwest of the city that we’re currently in. Completion of this quest will result in the acquiring of the Old Rock Necklace. Let’s head northwest of this city now!

The Guardius Report is found in location A-1, after hitting the trigger point. Once you hit the trigger point immediately take cover behind the tent for all of the soldiers in the area are either bowmen, or wizards. If you’re out in the open you’ll immediately die. Although, dying at this point will allow you to respawn next to Commander Feng. You can choose to either fight the Phoenix bowmen and wizards or you can die and quickly reach Feng. I’d suggest going for the extra experience points and fighting the Phoenix faction units. Like last time, hide behind the tent for cover and only attack one unit at a time. Note that killing all of the units isn’t necessary. Let’s head back to Feng. Return to the city, at B-3.

Feng is dumbfounded that the historian has been murdered! He remarks that it’s lucky that the Phoenix didn’t get their hands on the report. Fortunately, the historian discovered the first HeartStone location!

Striking First! Finding the First HeartStone Piece!

[rixka] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: —, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Leather Greaves, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: Leather Tunic, Feet: —, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 8, Agility: 22, Dexterity: 21, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

According to the Guardius Report, the first HeartStone piece can be found in a cave to the southwest! Feng mentions that the Guardians must unite all of the pieces of the HeartStone before the Phoenix do. Whoever has control of the HeartStone will have the upper hand in this civil war. Whomever completes the “Striking First” quest will receive one of three items, the Infantry Breastplate, the Archer’s Treads, or the Gloves of Spark. Accept the “Striking First” quest and head to the location marked on your map, D-2. Notably, there will be a decent sized cave on the screen. In front of the cave is Tyfall. This is an optional side-quest and you don’t need to complete this quest, but you may if you wish. He’ll mention to you that the Phoenix Shard Seekers are already in the cave! He’ll give you pack up as long as you promise to kill at least 20 Shard Seekers! If you wish you may accept this quest and go for the 25 gold pieces that serve as the reward!

Whether or not you accept the optional quest “Race for the Shard,” or not, enter the cave. Note that multiple enemies will “agro” you so it may be best to let the other Guardian members team up with you! A total of three members will come along with you. I highly recommend bringing these soldiers with you. Protect them well enough and you might be able to bring them to the boss at the end of the cave. I reccomend attacking enemies that are separated from the pack. Attacking an enemy that is close to another enemy will alert the unaffected enemy and the affected enemy that you’re there. So to make it more one-on-one combat take down enemies that are separated from the groups.

If you start at the beginning of the cave, the boss can be found by follow these steps: up, right, up, up, up, left.

Once you reach the end of the cave you’re faced with Strangleweb, basically it’s a giant spider that had venomous attacks! Here’s are a couple of tips on how to beat it: firstly, the attacks that it fires at you are impossible to manually dodge, save yourself time and just keep firing. Secondly, once the soldiers come through the cave entrance stand behind the poisonous goo that the spider left behind. This will dwindle the Shard Seeker’s health points. Finally, after you’ve killed all three Shard Seekers, the long ranged attacks by the spider will cause that green goo to appear, unlike before where it was complete random. Once hit by the initial blow, fire off one more shot, move fire again and once you’re hit again repeat those two steps.

Once you kill Strangleweb a trigger point will appear. Enter it to find yourself outside of the cave again. At this point, if you completed the Race for the Shard quest you can turn that in to Tyfall, or you can race back to Feng. Either way, you’ll need to go to Feng to turn in the “Striking First” quest and proceed with the storyline. Proceed back to B-3 and talk to Feng. He’ll congratulate you and then warn you that you need to find three other HeartStone pieces! He informs you that you need to seek out the Guardian camps in Souther Tempor.

Recruitment Report!

[iopvc] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

Now that we’ve found the first HeartStone piece we should explore the southwest section of Tempor! Let’s move to location G-1, where we’ll find another optional side-quest. If you’re in location G-1, talk to the quest giver, Gunt. Gunt wishes to examine their recruitment reports. As the war escalates, Gunt wants to figure out their recruitment techniques and how to put a stop to them. The Phoenix have been recruiting quickly and are only staying in locations for a short period of time. Gunt wants you to retrieve one Recruitment Report from the camp to the east. The reward for this quest is 35 gold pieces.

Let’s head to location G-3, just 2 spots east of our current location in G-1. The Recruitment Report will be a drop item from the Phoenix members in G-3. From my experience, out of all the members there currently, 2 of them dropped a Recruitment Report. So, the drop rate is pretty high. If you’re having trouble killing the Phoenix Captains, try to kill the enemy that is furtherest away from you and make sure that they’re not close to another Phoenix Captain. If you’re a ranged class, you can probably, being this far into the game, kill the Phoenix Captains before they get to you as a Ranger or Wizard. If you’re a Warrior, just bash their heads and attack the Captains that stray away from their group.

Once you have the Recruitment Report, speak to Gunt again at G-1. Gunt will congratulate you and will give you that location of the next camp, just southeast of here. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your 35 gold pieces.

Recon Mission!

[oooqw] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

If we move to G-2, we’ll find another grand city. Outside of the fortress is quest giver, Isis. Isis has suspicions that the wolves are coming from the cave to the northwest. Isis believes that the wolf infestation is coming from the cave to the northwest and would like us to investigate the cave. He does mention that we do not have to do anything else, but check to see if there are any wolves in the cave, so let’s make our way to the cave.

Let’s make our way to the cave. It’s located on F-1. If wish you may kill the wolves outside the cave for the experience that they hold. They’ll be a good source of experience at this point of the game. The only requirement for this quest is to enter the cave and get back to Isis. Enter the cave. At this point you can explore the cave, there may be treasures, or a boss battle like the last cave that when investigated. Of course the last cave had a HeartStone shard in it, this cave does not. Since there are no obstacles in this cave it’s be hard to find a safe place from the wolves. The Rabid Wolves have 171 health points. Equip a good weapon and take out the Rabid Wolves from afar with your bow or staff. Only attack one wolf at a time and make sure that the other wolf doesn’t notice! The wolves will agro you if you come close to them, so keep on eye on your health. Once you’re ready to leave the cave do so.

Let’s find our way back to Isis. He’s where we last saw him, back on location G-3, next to the grand city. Report back to Isis and tell him about the wolves that you found in the cave. Isis contemplates upon doing something about the wolves in the cave and then gives you your gold. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your 35 gold pieces.

Rabid Wolves!

[dhjwe] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

After completing the “Recon Mission” quest, Isis will talk to you about killing 10 Rabid Wolves. Isis wants to clear the cave of Rabid Wolves. He says that the wolves have been attacking and infecting people in recent times. Isis promises to look more intensely at the situation while you go and kill 10 Rabid Wolves in the cave. The reward for this quest is 40 gold pieces. Hit the “Accept Quest” button and let’s once again make our way to the cave.

The cave is to the northwest of your current location at F-1. Make your way there again and let’s kill 10 Rabid Wolves. There are three at the entrance, so if you wish you can kill three of these wolves then walk inside of the cave and kill the two in there and then explore deeper into the cave for five more Rabid Wolves. It’d probably be best if you didn’t attack the wolves outside of the cave because they are closer together, thus you could easily have three Rabid Wolves attacking you and you’re working with limited space.

Try to attack a Rabid Wolf when it’s broken off from the pack so that the other don’t agro you. Wolves in this cave range form 170 health to 220 health, so check their health bars before attacking. The same rules apply to attack the wolves as last time. Stands away at a considerable distance and fire your bow or spells. If you’re a warrior, attack the one that’s broken away from the pack, but if you can handle the heat try fighting off two wolves at the same time. Once you’ve killed 10 wolves find your way back to G-2, as marked on your map.

Once back at G-2, speak to Isis. He congratulates you and then remarks that a skilled fighter like you probably didn’t have much trouble. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your 40 gold pieces.

The Wolfmaster!

[fajdf] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

After completing the Rabid Wolves quest, Isis will inform you that after a bit of research, he’s determined that someone must be controlling these wolves. Rumor has spread of a man living in the cave, proclaiming himself as The Wolfmaster. Isis claims that the wolf infestation can be taken care of by killing this man. Isis insists that you explore the cave in F-1 for the Wolfmaster. Completion of this quest will gie you one of the following items Justicar’s Kneeguards, Treads of the Heron, or Robe of Silence.

Once again, make your way to the cave at location F-1. Immediately enter the cave and make your way to the very back of the cave. For experience points you can kill the Rabid Wolves inside the cave. If you’re close to leveling up do so, this will allow you to spend a bit of extra points on your stats before the mini boss battle. At the back of the cave you’ll find the Wolfmaster.

The Wolfmaster is actually very easy boss and he’ll have around 1480 health points. If you want, there are a total of 2 very different ways to complete this boss battle. You can kill the two wolves protecting him first, leaving the Wolfmaster unprotected from your attacks, or you can run around the cave, always out of reach of the wolves attacks while fighting the Wolfmaster. I’d go with option one, but depending on your play style there could be multiple ways to defeat the boss. The arrows will be pretty hard to dodge, especially if you haven’t upgraded your dexterity, which ties in with you run speed. If you can’t dodge the arrows then don’t waste your time trying to and just keep attacking him. The Rabid Wolves may also act like shields for the Wolfmaster. The Rabid Wolves are pretty big creates, but if they following you there should be a problem. Try to use any spells that you’ve acquired so far in the game. Use potions if need be.

Once the Wolfmaster is dead, leave the cave the same way you came from and find your way back to G-2. Report to Isis and he’ll congratulate you on your good work! He insists that you take one of the items. Take an item and hit the “Complete Quest” button.

Mind Controllers!

[fjmct] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Old Rock Necklace, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

We now need to seek several Guardian camps that are scattered in the southern section of Tempor. Let’s first head for the Guardian camp at H-3. Welin, the quest giver, will inform you that thanks to your anti-recruit techniques towards the Phoenix faction their recruitment has come close to a halt. Unfortunately, the Phoenix faction is now recruiting new soldiers by mind controlling them and forcing them to sign-up. Welin wants you to kill all the MindShapers to the camp to the west. The rewards for completing this quest is 40 gold pieces.

Move to section H-1. These enemies shouldn’t “agro” you if you are currently neutral enough towards them. You need to kill all nine of the MindShapers. I’d suggest hiding behind the tent and if you have ranged attacks firing from there. Try to take one enemy at a time and fire at enemies that wouldn’t cause other enemies to “agro” you. Take out one enemy at a time. if you step into the middle of the battle field there is a high chance that, because it’s early in the game and your character shouldn’t have too much health points that the combined hits from the enemies could cause a pretty quick death. Once you’ve completed the quest move back to H-3 and claim your reward from Welin.

Welin informs you that their last Guardian camp is just southeast of H-3. Hit “Compete Quest” and claim your 40 gold pieces.

Contamination!

[hhhqw] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Broken Pine Bow, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 12, Agility: 36, Dexterity: 35, Intellect: 6, Focus: 11

At this point of the game I’d like to grab a new weapon for our character. The Warder’s camp to the southwest has a excellent new weapon for us. Of course, if you’re not a Ranger, try grabbing some new weapons or armors at your own alternative faction camps (Warders, Magicians and Blademaster) at these locations I-1 (Warders’ camp), J-2 (Magicians’ Camp) or J-3 (Blademasters’ camp). At I-1, since I chose to be a Ranger, we can find our quest giver, Deloso. Deloso explains that a Warder’s patience is valued as one of the highest disciplines. He explains that, while patience is valued very highly, he has become exhasted by the Blademasters’ ignorance to the wild-life. Deloso wishes for you to poison their water supply and then report back to him. The reward for this quest the Nightstalker bow. Accept the quest.

We have to head to the southeast for this quest. Make your way to J-3, the Blademasters’ camp in the area. If you notice there is a trigger point next to the watter supply. Hit the trigger point and be prepared for a fight. The Greenblades will have either 212, 243, or 275 health points and hit for 10-24 damage. There also have a slowing move that’ll cut your movement speed by a considerable percent. You probably can’t take down all of the Greenblades at a time, which is what happens when you poison the water so I’d suggest getting out of there. If you’re not careful and they’ve surrounded you they can easily do 100-200 damage in a short amount of time. Try to get out of there and report back to Deloso at I-1.

Deloso will congratulate you for your excellent work and will reward you with the Nightstalker bow. Hit the “Complete Quest” button when you are ready and you’ll receive the Nightstalker bow. Be sure to equip it, unless you have a better bow.

Eavesdropping!

[icmsj] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Steel Helmet, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 16, Stamina: 13, Agility: 41, Dexterity: 41, Intellect: 7, Focus: 11

If you’re still at location H-3, we’ll need to find the last Guardian camp. Welin told us that it was just to the southeast of H-3. The final Guardian camp is located at J-4 on our map. Make your way there and talk to the quest giver Cano. Cano will reward you with a Shining Jewel if you manage to put a listening device inside one of the Phoenix Main Command camp’s tents. Cano informs you the the camp is just to the north of here. Move to location H-4. At the Main Command camp you’ll find one large tent, with a trigger point next to it. Stepping on the trigger point will result in the Enlisted Bowmen to attack you! If you’re a ranged class hide behind the tent and take on one enemy at a time. Use the tent to hide away from the enemies and to recover health points. Note that you don’t have to actually kill all, if any, of the Enlisted Bowmen, but you should do it for the experience points that they drop.

Return to Cano, the quest giver back on section J-4. He’ll congratulate you and then mentions that he’ll have men listening to every conversation of the Phoenix’s through the device. Hit “Complete Quest” and you’ll be rewarded with the Shining Jewel. Cano then informs you that you should seek council with Commander Phroste, whom is in the city just to the northwest. You probably past this city already while on your quest. Accept Cano’s new quest to meet with Commander Phroste and head to the city to the northwest.

Report to Phroste!

[qicxi] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Infantry Headcover, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 20, Stamina: 13, Agility: 43, Dexterity: 43, Intellect: 7, Focus: 11

Let’s move to section G-2 of the map. Here we’ll find another grand city and inside of it, Commander Phroste will tell you that your time is short that you must hurry. Complete the quest and gain the 15 gold pieces.

While we Wait!

[tyunf] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Infantry Headcover, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 20, Stamina: 13, Agility: 45, Dexterity: 44, Intellect: 7, Focus: 11

After completing the Report to Phroste quest, Commander Phroste will give you another quest. He wants you to seek out a small band of Phoenix Enlisted Bowmen and kill all of them. There are a total of 7 bowmen that are rallying near a cave just to the southeast of here, mentions Phroste. Phroste also mentions that the Guardian army is strong, they are ready to attack at any moments notice. He also pounders on the idea that the small bowmen group is linked to another HeartStone shard that the Phoenix are looking for. The reward for this quest is 45 gold pieces.

You can find the cave at J-1. I’d suggest hiding on top of the mouth of the cave. Even their ranged attacks won’t be able to hit you from there, unforunately you can’t do damage from there either. Poke your head out from the side of the cave mouth and fire. These Enlisted Archers have a heal spell, so if you get their health down to 100 or so they can then use their heal spell. Be cautious of this. At this point of the game I was hitting pretty consistently 50 damage so taking down those Enlisted Archers was nothing. let’s report back to Commander Phroste in the city to the northwest from here.

Move back to section G-2 and seek Commander Phroste. He’ll be exactly where you last saw him, at the southern-most part of the city. Talk to him and he’ll congratulate you on your victory! He says that this victory is vital to your next quest that he’ll be giving you! Complete the “While we Wait” quest and claim the 45 gold pieces.

The Second Shard!

[djjie] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Infantry Headcover, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 20, Stamina: 13, Agility: 46, Dexterity: 46, Intellect: 7, Focus: 11

According to Cano, the man that gave you the quest to place the listening device in the Phoenix camp, they overheard a conversation regarding the next HeartStone piece! The Phoenix leaders believe that the HeartStone piece lies in the cave to the southeast. The same cave that you killed the Enlisted Archers at! Commander Phroste exclaims that you must find the HeartStone shard before the phoenix do! Once again, head towards the cave on J-1. This quest has a reward of 85 gold pieces and the HeartStone for certain! Making our way towards the cave, we notice that Bobar the Bum wishes for us to find another stone in this cave. This quest is optional and doesn’t have to be completed, but if you’re looking for a little extra gold and possibly experience accept the quest.

At this point of the game I was a level 13 Ranger with the stats as follow. Strength: 14, Agility: 51, Intellect: 7, Stamina: 20, Dexterity: 38 and Focus: 7. I usually hit around 72-73 damage and my crits, which are plentiful, hit around 110 damage.

Let’s make our way inside of the cave. Of course, there are already several enemies that’ll attack us on sight. I’d suggest that you stand in the doorways and fire at any soldiers that are broken off from the pack. If there is none, take out the archers fire as they’ll prove to be both strong and of course, far away from you. As the warriors agro you take them out, you should try to have at least one of the archers down before you begin the fight with th warriors. Once the 1 or 2 agro warriors are gone and you’ve killed both of the achers you can proceed safely to the next room. One or two enemies will be left in each room. Take them out if you wish.

For this cave, we’ll need to light three different torches. If we light all three we can then fight the boss! The boss is in the most northeastern room. Once we’re in the room, if you’re a ranged class fire at him from the opposite side of the room. You need good running speed for this boss! The rule of either ranged class is to fire, run away and get enough distance between your enemy and repeat. If you’re a ranged class follow those rules! If you’re an archer, or another class with an ability to slow-down the Colossal Guardian use it! The Colossal Guardian is fast! He’ll attack if you’re in the red circle around him. If you uses a special attack that makes his circle change into some sort of ancient writing, get out of his circle and take this opportunity to fire at him, he’ll be stuck in that mode for a second or two. Use that time to do some damage to him. It took me about 10 minutes to beat the boss. Once we beat him he’ll drop some pretty good armors and weapons. Let’s get out of here and report back to Commander Phroste in the city to the northwest.

Meeting up with Commander Phroste in the city (G-2) he suggests that there are four pieces to the HeartStone. He then suggests that you head east and continue your adventure there. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and you’ll be rewarded with 85 gold pieces.

The Other Stone

[oplop] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Infantry Headcover, Hands: Leather Gloves, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 20, Stamina: 13, Agility: 46, Dexterity: 46, Intellect: 7, Focus: 11

Speaking to Bobar the Bum, outside of the J-1 cave we learn that the creatures in the cave hold a different kind of stone, not HeartStone pieces, but Guardian Stone. Bobar mentions that rumor exist that such a stone does exist and that you can find it on a couple of the Stone Guardians. The reward for this quest is 55 gold pieces. Accept the quest and enter the cave.

Upon entering the cave on J-1, you’ll find that there are four Stone Guardians in that room alone and like the name suggests, they creatures protect stones. They will also drop stones when they die. These are the items that Bobar is looking for. For me, half of the Stone Guardians dropped Guardian stones. So there is a pretty high drop rate. Once you find the Guardian Stone report back to Bobar the Bum on J-1. Click “Complete Quest” to claim you 55 gold pieces.

They Shall Not Pass!

[fkoaq] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Gloves of Wind, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 27, Stamina: 19, Agility: 57, Dexterity: 57, Intellect: 7, Focus: 13

Direct your attention now to location D-7. Once at D-7, speak to the quest giver there by the name of Macar. He mentions the conincidence that the last 2 HeartStone pieces were located in cave, but he also mentions that the Phoenix are planning a recon mission into the cave to the northeast of D-7. Macar wants you to kill all of the Phoenix soldiers that you find there. If they come into possession of the HeartStone shard it could turn the tables in the war. Macar urges you to go to the cave and kill any Phoenix members there. Completion of this quest will reward you with one of three items, the Captain’s Boots, the Tunic of Wind, or the Channeler’s Greaves. Hit the “Accept Quest” button and find your way to the cave.

The cave is located at C-6, directly northeast of D-7, the camp that you’re at. Once at the cave mouth, hit the trigger point and the Hybrid soldiers will begin to come from the south. Hid atop the mouth of the cave if you need to rest for a second and take down the Hybrid soldiers that’ll come from either side of you. The Hybrid Soldiers will stop coming after you after 9 of them have been killed.

Once 9 Hybrid Soldiers have been killed report back to quest giver Macar in D-7. Macar congratulates you and then tells you to travel to the Guardian camps to the north. He also promises to bring word to the city to the east of the Phoenix reconning the cave. Macar suspects that the Phoenix know that the HeartStone shard is in the cave.

Guiding a Youngling!

[uuuuu] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Gloves of Wind, Legs: Justicar’s Kneeguards, Main Hands: Nightstalker, Jewel: Shining Jewel, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 27, Stamina: 19, Agility: 57, Dexterity: 57, Intellect: 7, Focus: 13

At this point of the game, you may want to upgrade your weapon. Let’s head over to our alternative faction camp, which would be dependent upon your class. Since I’m a Ranger, I’m going to go over the “Guiding a Youngling” quest. If you’re a Blademaster head to F-7 and if you’re a magician make your way to E-9. Doing these quests will reward you with new weapons or armors. I’m going to go over the Guiding a Youngling. Let’s make our way to G-9, this is where we’ll find our next Warder camp. Rayleigh, our quest giver, will be glad to see us! A new recruit wishes to learn the way of the bow and Rayleigh asks you to teach him to kill. He wants you to move to the camp to the north, the Magicians’ camp and slay 6 of their Hydromancers. The reward for this quest is the Grimshot Bow. Accept the quest.

Let’s make our way to the Magicians’ camp to the north. Francis, the recruit, will come with us and will aid us. Try to take cover behind the tent or tree before attacking the Hydromancers. Francis will have 840 health points so you shouldn’t have to worry about him dying. Try to alert only one Hydromancer at a time of your presence and take down one at a time. With Francis’ help you shouldn’t have a problem killing off the Hydromancers and the Hydromancers won’t heal themselves. They should go down in a 3 or 4 hits, especially with Francis at your side.

Once you’re done report back to the quest giver on G-9. Rayleigh mentions that Francis joined because you were part of the organization. He also mentions that you should try becoming a recruiter for the Warder faction. When you’re ready, hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your new Grimshot Bow.

The Upper Hand!

[ucxkl] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Gloves of Wind, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: leather Tunic, Feet: Archer’s Treads, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 15, Agility: 87, Dexterity: 59, Intellect: 5, Focus: 18

Now that you’ve found the second HeartStone shard, report to quest giver Ferisiel. He is located at A-7. Ferisiel wants you to attack a camp to the west and then return to him. He hopes this demoralizes the enemy leader. Completion of this quest will reward you with 95 gold pieces. Accept the quest and head to the west camp. Kill a man by the name of Slaten and then you may leave the Phoenix camp and head back to Ferisiel, but if you’re looking for a little extra experience you can kill off the rest of the enemies. Take cover behind the tents. Report back to Ferisiel and hit the “Complete Quest’ button.

Report to Gavalar!

[hjkla] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Gloves of Wind, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Tunic of Wind, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 20, Agility: 107, Dexterity: 80, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

After completing “The Upper Hand” quest, Ferisiel will notify you that Commander Gavalar wishes to see you. Gavalar is in the city just to the southeast. Ferisiel wishes for you to get there fast. Completion of this quest will result in a reward of 60 gold pieces. You can find Gavalar in the city located at F-9. You can find that location on your map.

Let’s head to F-9 at this point! Once we arrive at the Guardian grand city, go to the northern section of the city and speak to Gavalar. He’ll have a green circle underneath him. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to continue and claim your 60 gold pieces.

Blocking Progress!

[dsjaf] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Gloves of Wind, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Tunic of Wind, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 20, Agility: 107, Dexterity: 80, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

As you complete the previous quest, “Report to Gavalar,” a new quest will be given to you by Gavalar himself. The Guardians are convinced that the next HeartStone piece is located in the cave to the northwest, but the Phoenix faction has put up magic barriers in the cave to block anyone that may try to enter it. The Guardian magicians are convinced that if someone was to find this magic rod that the effects of the barriers could be cancelled. Gavalar wants you to travel to the cave and find the Channeling Rod. Completion of this quest will give you one of three items, the Chestguard of Victory, the PathFinder’s Pants, or the Spellslinger’s Robe. Accept the quest.

Let’s find that cave. It can be found on C-6, as marked on our map. Inside of the cave there are three Enslaved Pyromancers. Only attack one at a time. Try to attack pyromancers that are broken off from the group. Pyromancers will attack long ranged and won;t move much. There is no defense in the cave so you’ll have to withstand the hits as they come. Use potions if you must. They will drop Channeling Rods when killed.

Once you have a Channeling Rod, report back to Commander Gavalar in the city to the southeast. Once again, find your way to the northern section of the city and speak with Gavalar. He’ll congratulate you and then tells you that the wizards will work on taking down the barriers. Select the item that you want then hit “Complete Quest.”

The Next Piece!

[iopqw] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

Try to get to level 25+ for this quest and bring along a one Tracker, one Arcanist and 2 Redblades. You can buy these units at the Mechant shop in this very city. After completing the Blocking progress quest, Gavalar will inform you that by the time you reach the cave again the barriers will be down. While no monsters should be in the first room anymore, Gavalar is concerned that there may be more powerful creatures lurking in the cave. He fears that there may be another powerful beast protecting this HeartStone. The reward for this quest is 115 gold pieces. Accept the quest.

Let’s head over to the cave. It’s located just to the northwest. It is also the location where we fought off the waves of enemies. You can find the cave on C-6, as marked on your map. Once inside of the cave you’ll notice that the first room is empty. All of the rooms, except the boss room, will have 2 Frost Guardians and 4 Cinder Guardians. The Frost Guardians are long-ranged mages that have slowing spells and deal a considerable amount of damage and the Cinder Guardians have fiery arrow attacks. Since they’re all long-ranged units and there is no place to hide you’ll just have to take them out in open-combat. What you’ll want to do first upon entering a room is kill any Cinder Guardians that, when attacked, won’t alert the other Cinder Guardians. Once you’ve killed one or two Cinder Guardians that way try taking out the Frost Guardians. Stand in the doorway so that arrows from sharper angles won’t be able to hit you.

You’ll actually need to step on three trigger points in this cave. If you follow the eastern path you’ll run across one trigger point and if you follow the northern path and veer south once you get the opportunity you’ll run across another trigger point. Finally, if you just follow the northern path you’ll run across another trigger point. Once you’ve hit all of the trigger points you’ll be able to enter the door leading to the boss. If you start from the beginning of the cave and follow the northern path, just take a left as soon as possible to find the boss door. Hit the trigger point beside the door and the door will be destroyed allowing you access into the boss room.

The boss is the Spellbound Guardian is has 5930 health points. or this boss battle you might want to bring a little back up, as if you’re not carefully you could be flooded with enemies. All the Spellbound Guardian can do is summon more enemies to fight you and while most of these enemies can be killed in one or two hits tops, they can overwhelm you and kill you. I’d suggest bringing an Arcanist, a Tracker and 2 Redswords. All of these units can be purchased in the city that you got this very quest from. You can purchase them from the Merchant faction. If you have those units with you, you’ll kill Spellbound Guardian in less than a minute, really it’s overkill. Allow the two Redswords to fight against the Spellbound Guardian up close and the Tracker, Arcanist and you should stand at a safe distance firing at the boss. Just keep firing and he’ll die. The Spellbound Guardian can heal for 2000, but with this team you’ll be able to do 3000+ before he can heal again.

Once you’ve killed him, pick up the HeartStone piece. He’ll also drop a rare weapon or armor. If it fits your class take it and it might be better than your current weapon or armor. Once you have the HeartStone shard take the trigger point out. You’ll find yourself at the entrance of the cave again. Let’s make our way back to Gavalar in the grand city to the southeast. Once there be sure to speak to him. He’ll be enthusiastic about the quest to retrieve all the HeartStone shard and he’ll congratulate you on finding another shard. Gavalar suspects that there is one more HeartStone shard to find! Hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your 115 gold pieces.

The Wolves Return!

[kjqwm] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

At this point in the game you can either head to the numerous northeastern camps, or you can complete another optional side-quest. Skip down to “Winning the Battles” if you wish to proceed with the storyline. Outside of the grand city, that Gavalar is in, is a quest giver by the name of Mobin. He’ll be right outside of the city walls in F-9. Mobin is concerned about the wolves in the area. He heard of your deeds of killing the Wolfmaster and is suspecting that something similar may be happening here. Mobin wants you to kill 8 Grizzled Wolves in the cave to the south. If you complete this quest you’ll be rewarded with 50 gold pieces.

Head to J-9, at the very bottom of the map, directly south of your current location. There are three Grizzled Wolves outside of the cave and many more inside of the cave. The only requirement of this quest is to kill 8 Grizzled Wolves. Once you’ve killed 8 return to Mobin and talk to him. He’ll congratulate you and remark that it’s hard to travel with so many wolves around. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your 50 gold pieces.

The Other Wolfmaster!

[qwklo] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

After completing “The Wolves Return” quest, Mobin will ask you to investigate the same cave for another Wolfmaster. Like the last Wolfmaster, this man is controlling the wolves and making them stay in the area and possibly making them more aggregative towards wonderers. The reward for this quest is 65 gold pieces.

Once inside of the cave run to the very back of the cave seek Wolfmaster Mondoran. Wolfmaster Mondoran will be guarded by two of his Grizzled Wolves. I’d suggest taking out the wolves first and trying to avoid the bow attacks. of course you could also ignore the Grizzled Wolves while running around the room if you can move fast enough. If you are fast enough you’ll also be able to dodge the arrows with ease. if you aren’t fast enough to dodge the arrows then don’t waste your time trying to do so. Wolfmaster Mondoran will do around 40 to 60 damage and has an arrow attack that will slow your movement. Look for a blue arrow. When low on health Mondoran will heal for 200 damage. Keep the pressure on him and he’ll go down. Once he’s dead retreat out of the cave.

Let’s head back to Mobin to the north. Mobin can be found at F-9, as marked on your map. Talking to Mobin, he’ll congratulate you and then mentions that he hope there isn’t a third brother. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and claim your 65 gold pieces.

Securing the South!

[dfghj] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

At this point of the game you can head to the south and help the single Guardian camp there, or you can head to the northeast of the map and complete those quest. This quest is actually optional. If you wish to secure the south, follow this section, but if you wish to continue to the northeast of the map skip down to “Winning the Battles. Anyway, let’s first head over to I-9, we’ll find our first Guardian camp here. Here we’ll find a new quest giver, Ufang. Ufang explains that this part of Tempor doesn’t have many natural resources and that the only two camps here are, this camp and the Phoenix camp to the northwest. While there are little natural resources, if the Guardians could exclusively hold this area it would give them an advantage in the war. Ufang wants you to kill all Phoenix members in the camp to the northwest. If you complete this quest you’ll be rewarded with a Champion’s Mark. You can find the camp on section H-8 once you accept the quest. You must kill six Phoenix Battlehands.

Head to H-8 and kill all six of the Phoenix Battlehands. Since there is no long-ranged enemies you don’t really need to hide at all. Take them out one by one. If you’re a ranger or mage, you can probably take them out before they reach you. Report back to Ufang. He’ll congratulate you and then tells you to meet more Guardian members along the path to the north.

Winning the Battles

[mnbvc] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

You can find the next Guardian camp by following the eastern path, or the path just west of the camp to B-12. Here you’ll find quest giver Iwen. He’ll inform you that each Guardian camp was meant to rival another Phoenix camp and he tells you that this war will be won with the small battles – with weakening the opposing force so that when the real war begins to wage that one side will have the upper hand. Iwen also informs you that many of his soldiers have died to the attacks by the Battle Clerics to the west. He wants you to find them and kill all six Battle Clerics. Upon completion of this quest you’ll receive 105 gold pieces.

The Battle Clerics can be really annoying, their heal spell is activated when they have any health points lower than 450 or so and heals around 300 health points. You should be able to kill them with a minimum of a level 19 hero and relatively good stats. My stats were as follow: Strength: 14, Agility: 69, Intellect: 7, Stamina: 28, Dexterity: 44, Focus: 7. If you need to train a bit, there are a ton of clans and faction on the eastern path with enemies ranging of levels around 20-25, rewarding around 50 experience points. Also remember to only make one enemy aware of you at a time. Two clerics fighting you and constantly healing will ultimately result in death.

Once you’ve beat all 6 Battle Clerics report back to the quest giver Iwen. He’ll thank you and then will tell you that you should check out some of the other Guardian camps to the southeast.

Cleansing the Water!

[kjhwe] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Grimshot Bow, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

At this point in the game you may be looking for a new weapon. At this point of the game you should have the Grimshot Bow, which was covered earlier in the tutorial. of course if you’re part of a different faction you may have a different weapon. If you’re a Warder, at this point of the game head to D-14, if you’re a Magician head to D-11 and if you’re a Blademaster head to A-13. Since I’m a Ranger, I’ll cover the “Cleansing the Water” quest. let’s make our way to D-14, the only Warder’s camp in northeastern Tempor. Once there talk to Honsen, the quest giver in the area. He’ll mention that the Magicians upstream have been polluting the water with their potions and have made the water unsanitary. Honsen wants you to destroy one of their refineries to the west with the explosives that he gives you. The reward for this quest is the Wavebreaker bow. One of the best bows in the entire game. Accept the quest.

Let’s make our way to the north side of E-11. There you’ll find 4 Spellslingers each with 696 or 777 health points. They are a magic based class and can deal a good amount of damage. If you attack an enemy before blowing up the refinery you’re bound to draw the attention of the other Spellslingers. If you do attract the attention of one or two other Spellslingers then after you kill the first one, the one that you began shooting at, leave E-11 and when you come back none of the enemies will agro you and one less Spellslinger will be there (because you kill him). Once you’re ready blow up the refinery. All of the Spellslingers will attack you.

Make your way back to Hosen, the quest giver in the Warder camp at D-14. Once we arrive at D-14, make your way to Hosen and report back to him the good news. Hosen exclaims that his soldiers could hear the boom from where they stand. Hosen says that in a couple of days the river will be clear of the potions and will be safe once again to drink. Hosen insist that you take the Wavebreaker bow as a reward. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your Wavebreaker bow.

Wild Centaurs!

[tymmm] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Wavebreaker, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

If we move to location C-12, we’ll find Citizen Sydney, whom’ll give us an optional side-quest that revolves around the wild centaurs in the area. He mentions that the wolves in the past quests are nothing compared to Centaurs. Sydney wants to push them out of Tempor for good as these beasts attack anyone that they see and are powerful. Sydney will mark where you can find these centaurs on your map if you accept the quest. He wants you to kill 15 Centaur Elders. The reward for this quest is 70 gold pieces. Accept the quest and head northeast.

Move to B-13. Here you’ll find a group of Centaur Elders. They hae 650 to 850 health points and can dish out a fair amount of damage. There is no real protection from the Centaur Elders, so attack one at a time and try not to alert others. Try to stand at a fair distance and fire your arrows or spells at them. If you’re a warrior get in close and try not to alert the other Centaurs that you’re there. There is also another group of Centaur Elders to the south of B-13, C-13.

Once you’ve killed 15 Centaurs head back to Syndey and talk to him. He’ll congratulate you and will remark that the people won’t have to go outside with fear that they’ll be attacked any more. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your 70 gold pieces.

Centaur Lord Felsin!

[iedjz] Optional Side-Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Victor’s Warhelm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Wavebreaker, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 23, Stamina: 30, Agility: 125, Dexterity: 109, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

After completing the “Wild Centaurs” quest, given to you by Sydney, he’ll give you another quest. it turns out that while we were slaying the Centuar Elders a merchant came by and told Sydney that the Centaurs may be leaded by some sort of leader. Unfortunately, when the Centaurs noticed the merchant they ran towards the cave to the northeast. Sydney believe that if you kill the leader the Centaurs might just leave Tempor. Sydney wishes you to go to the cave and kill the Centaur Lord. The reward for this quest is one of these three items, the Aegis of Light, the Forest Lord’s Greaves, or the Crown of Foresight. Accept the quest.

Let’s make our way to the cave, it’s on B-14, just to the northwest of our current location. Once there enter the cave and make your way to the back of the cave. The Centaur Lord is an incredible easy fight. If you plan on fighting the Centuars earlier in the cave, try taking out the ones that are broken off from the path. This is easiest to achieve when fighting Cnetuars in herds of 3. A group of 4 will force you to make one or more Centaur agro you.

The Centaur Lord is actually the same speed as a Centaur, but has a lot more health points and can do more damage. If you’ve boosted your dexterity and can run faster than a Centaur this should be an easy battle. While easy, it’ll be a long battle because of the Centaurs large amount of heath. The Centaur Lord will have over 6000 health points. My main strategy as a Ranger was to outrun the Centaur and to fire once I got enough distance between him and I, then I repeated the cycle – running, firing, running firing.

Once you’ve killed the Centaur Lord report back to Sydney, back on C-12. Upon talking to him, he’ll congratulate you and hopes that this will end the Centaur problem in the area. Select the item that you want and hit the “Complete Quest” button.

Stealing Research!

[djqjq] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Wavebreaker, Jewel: Champion’s Mark, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 10, Stamina: 23, Agility: 151, Dexterity: 107, Intellect: 5, Focus: 17

Now that we’ve completed the “Winning Battles” quest, upon Iwen’s recommendation, travel to the southeast. You can find another Guardian camp to the southeast in section D-13. Talk to quest giver Mott when you arrive. He’ll explain that before the Phoenix became hungry for power, many of the Guardian leaders worked with them. He explains that because of this, Guardius’s files are still under control of the Phoenix faction. News has spread that the Phoenix had made a discovery about these files. Mott then explains that you must steal these files from the camp to the northeast. Completion of this quest will give you one of three items, the Helmet of Victory, the Pathfinder’s Cover, or the SpellSlinger’s Shoes.

You can find the Guardius Report Document in A-14, it should be marked on your map. Once there try to take our the warriors, leaving the Phoenix Historian all by himself. Attack the warriors so that the Phoenix Historian isn’t alerted! Once the Historian is the last unit left take him out by using your special attacks. At this point of the game, at least as an archer you should be hitting around 100 damage or so. The Phoenix Historian is just like those Battle Clerics that we fought, he’ll heal for 300 once his health points drops around 450. Relentlessly attack him to kill him. If you hide behind the tent at the correct angle, you can shoot him, while he can’t shoot you. This allows you to take him down with no damage taken to your character.

Once we have the Guardius Report Document we’ll want to report back to Mott in section D-13. Talking to Mott, he tells you that he’ll sent the report to someone that can interpret the file. He then suggests that you travel to the camps to the south, across the bridge, from here. Select the item that you want for your character and head south across the bridge. The bridge is on E-12.

Desperate Measures!

[rtcss] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 153, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

There is a Guardian camp on F-13, just southeast of the bridge at E-12. Meet with the quest giver Mucan and talk to him. He’ll inform you that the race for the final HeartStone piece is underway! He also mentions that the Phoenix faction is becoming desperate and are now experimenting with dark arts. The Phoenix mages are no bringing warriors back to life to fight the war as their recruitments dwindle. Mucan informs you that there is a group of Undead Knights just to the south. He wants you to kill 10 of them. The reward for this quest is 120 gold pieces.

Go two sections west, F-11 and there you’ll find the Undead Knights. These knights also can heal themselves for a large amount, 300 health points or so, similar to the Battle Clerics and the Phoenix Historian. Although, since these are close-combat soldiers, if they’re running they cannot heal themselves. Take advantage of this if you’re a ranged class and keep them runner. Once you have enough distance between them and you, fire your weapons and then run again. Repeat this till all 10 are dead. No hiding is necessary. Once you’ve killed all 10 Undead Knights report back to Mucan. Mucan mentions that you must complete the HeartStone. He also wants you to go to final Guardian camp, to the southwest of your current location. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and you’ll be rewarded the 120 gold pieces.

Final Strongholds!

[plmok] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 153, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

The final Guardian camp is located I-11, southwest of the last camp that you were at. Speak to the quest giver, Kabel. Kabel and the Guardian army want to be sure that when they go for the final HeartStone piece that there is little to no interference from the Phoenix faction. He also mentions that their final camp is here, just to the southeast. Kabel wants you to burn it to the ground with the explosives that he gives you. Completing this quest will give you the Red Badge of Courage.

Move towards section J-14. Here you’ll find the building that Kabel wants you to destroy. Phoenix Grandarchers will be numerous around the building. The trigger point to blow up the building is in the center of J-14. Fighting the Grandarchers will practically be useless if you’re not powerful enough. Their long-ranged bow attacks will do a great amount of damage. I;d suggest that, if you know that you can’t beat one of the Grandarchers that you shouldn’t stay there too long. If you can take down the swarm, hide behind something and snipe one by one. Nevertheless, get back to Kabel once you’ve blown up the building and talk to him. Kabel will award you with the Red Badge of Courage and will remark about how you’ve gotten ash all over your face. Hit the “Complete Quest” button and Kabel will give you a new quest.

Report to High Lord Axis!

[ijnuh] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 153, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

After completing the “Final Strongholds” quest Kabel will give you a new quest. High Lord Axis wishes to speak to you. Kabel suspects it’s about the final HeartStone shard. High Lord Axis can be found in the Guardian city to the north. Completing this quest will award you with 60 gold pieces. Make your way towards G-11, the location of the city will be marked on your map. High Lord Axis will be in the northern section of the city. Upon talking to him he’ll claim that he’s heard much about you and your deeds. He introduces himself as the Commander of the Guardian forces. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your reward of 60 gold pieces. High Lord Axis will send you on another mission if you have a high enough reputation with the faction. Raise your reputation with the Guardian faction to 2000 to proceed. I suggest attacking the phoenix guards near the Phoenix castle for the most reputation points.

Placing the Wards!

[uhbyg] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 153, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

Once you’ve raised your reputation to 2000 for the Guardian faction High Lord Axis will present you with a new quest. Upon talking to Axis he’ll mention that the Guardian scouts have strong reason to believe that the HeartStone piece is located in the cave to the south of your current location. High Lord Axis also believes that the Phoenix are watching the Guardians every move. High Lord Axis wants to be sure that once you’re in the cave that you cannot be ambushed. He wants you to place several sentry wards inside of the cave and then return to him. Completing this quest will reward you with one of these items, the Dragon Scale, the Warder’s Feetcovers, or the Magician’s Cap. Accept the quest and head south out of the city and proceed to move south towards J-11.

You must place two sentry wards on J-11, but several Phoenix Grandarchers are there. First take out the two Phoenix Grandarchers that are on the most left side of the screen and the most right side of the screen. If you need to rest after killing those two units do so, but keep it brief because the Grandarchers you just killed will eventually respawn. Place the left-most sentry ward by walking over the trigger point. Then race to the top of the cave mouth. This gives you cover from the Grandarchers below. The archers below won’t be able to inflict any damage upon you. Now run over to the next trigger point and place the sentry ward. Then race to the top of the cave mouth again and then race to the next trigger point. Finally race to the last trigger point. You can either kill the rest of the units or leave at this point. Either way, report back to High Lord Axis to complete the “Placing the Wards” quest.

Return back to High Lord Axis at G-11 and he’ll congratulate you. Pick the item that you want for your hero and hit “Complete Quest.”

The Final Shard!

[tfcrd] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 159, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

After completing the previous quest, “Placing the Wards,” High Lord Axis will sent you on another quest. High Lord Axis informs you that the Black Council has raised an impressive army, as desperate as they may be. Axis believes that without the HeartStone in the Guardians possession that Tempor would fall into another fruitless war. He urges you to go to the cave and to not come back until you have the HeartStone in your possession. If you complete this quest you’ll be rewarded with one of the following items, the Helm of Forgotten Kings, the WindShaper’s Shinguards, or the Soles of the Haunt.

After a little searching around in the cave you’ll find Guardius, the man once thought dead by most of the kingdom. Guardius is behind a door with four circles on it and trigger point in front of it. Upon speaking to Guardius he’ll direct you to some goods that he has and tells you to enter the trigger point. Upon entering the trigger point you’ll receive the HeartStone piece that you were looking for. Another trigger point opens. Enter it and you’ll find yourself outside of the cave you’d just entered.

Let’s get back to High Lord Axis. High Lord Axis is back on G-11. Upon talking to him you’ll learn that Axis and the other commanders staged his death when Guardius feared war. Guardius then told the commanders where the HeartStone shards were. Select the item that you want for your character and hit the “Complete Quest” button.

Reforging the HeartStone!

[rdxre] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: Red Badge of Courage, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 5, Stamina: 35, Agility: 159, Dexterity: 115, Intellect: 17, Focus: 12

After completing “The Final Shard” quest, High Lord Axis will present you with another quest. He fears that the Black Council may think of this reforging as a favor, considering their large army. Axis believes that the Black Council may send their army to steal the HeartStone. High Lord Axis urges you to speak to the researcher in the city, only he can reforge the pieces. The reward for this quest is the HeartStone, which has insane stat boosts. Now, make your way to the southern section of the city and talk to Researcher Abarin. Talking to him, he is inspired by the HeartStone, he also pounders upon how many lives it will kill, but how many it will save. Upon completing the quest, your status with the Phoenix will be “Kill on Sight.”

At this point of the game and for the rest of the game, this was my build: Strength: 705, Agility: 871, Intellect: 705, Stamina: 34, Dexterity: 385, and Focus: 343. My armors and weapons were as follow: Sight of the Eagle, Treant’s Grips, Windshaper’s Shinguards, Angerwood Longbow, The HeartStone, Pathfinder’s Cover and Pathfinder’s Pards.

A Final Audience

[waqwx] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: HeartStone, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 705, Stamina: 323, Agility: 859, Dexterity: 404, Intellect: 705, Focus: 312

Once you’ve completed the “Reforging the HeartStone” quest, equip the HeartStone to your character. A new quest is automatically given to you “A Final Audience.” Albarin explains that your quest has come to it’s final step. The Phoenix are currently stunned, and assassination orders have been placed on both Guardius’s and your’s heads. Brin has requested that you speak to him immediately, southeast of your current location, near the Phoenix grand city. Completing this quest will reward you with 55 gold pieces. Let’s head to I-12. You’ll meet Brin Guardius there. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to continue.

Destroy the Black Council!

[uecng] Storyline Quest

Armor, Weapon and Stats – Armor: Head: Pathfinder’s Helm, Hands: Pathfinder’s Grips, Legs: Pathfinder’s Pants, Main Hands: Bow of the Falcon, Jewel: HeartStone, Chest: Pathfinder’s Cover, Feet: Sylvan Gliders, Off Hand: — Stats – Strength: 705, Stamina: 323, Agility: 859, Dexterity: 404, Intellect: 705, Focus: 312

Upon completing the “A Final Audience” quest, Guardius will give you the “Destroy the Black Council” quest. Guardius wishes for you to enter the Phoenix city to the east and to kill the five Black Council members there. Guardius explains that they are too dangerous to let live. Also, without their leaders the Phoenix will be unadvised and will fall into abyss. The reward for this quest is 50 gold pieces. Guardius also gives you three warriors to fight along your side.

Let’s head east to the Phoenix grand city. Remember that you’re kill on sight now. The Council Bodyguards will attack you if they see you. If you don’t want to loose your soldiers to these guys, with you impressive speed due to the HeartStone you’ll be able to run into the castle walls with little difficulty. Your soldiers will catch up once you’re in the grand city.

Once in the city, proceed to the northern section of the city. This small boss battle is actually very easy. First, snipe the middle-most warrior Black Councilmen, this will make the two Black Council men to either side of him award of your presence. Kill the Black Councilmen that you originally targeted while your other soldiers keep busy with another target. Keep firing at other enemies until their dead. If you need to rest up hide behind the house. I probably got behind the house where there were the two ranger Black Council member left and one warrior member. All three of my soldiers had died. Poke your head out behind the sign next to the house and take down the two snipers. For me, the last member left was the Black Council member on the far left, who had been unaware of me the entire fight. He was also a warrior. Take him down from long ranged. if you’re a melee class, lure in the enemies while standing behind the house and then take out what snipers are left.

Now that you’ve killed all five members report back to Guardius to the east of the Phoenix city. He’ll congratulate you and then says that you’ll forever be remembered as a great hero. Hit the “Complete Quest” button to claim your 50 gold pieces.
